The beach was beautiful. The snorkelling trip was the highlight. The staff are all kind, gracious and accommodating. Will definitely recommend this place. The food menu can be improved a bit.

Beautiful remote hotel with stunning view. The rooms are well maintained and comfy, staff is lovely. The only thing is that there is nothing around so it’s limited to the beach in front of the hotel which is a bit rocky. You can snorkel in the bay but it’s quite shallow at the beginning. Very nice to relax and enjoy a beautiful scenery.

It’s seems like we pay less but got the VVIP experience. Love how they welcome us, feels like travel to a private island just for our family. It’s quiet and very relaxing place. They help us from A to Z. They offer island hopping package as well.

Stunning views, excellent service and good food. Had a lovely stays as my friend arrange a surprise birthday for me during dinner, very good massage ( i took excellent massage package) plus had a chance to saw milky way just in front of the hotel’s restaurant..! I just Love everything💜💜 The only thing that can improve is the flamming tower seafood that i ordered 1 day in advance. Booked for 7pm, it came around 7.40pm and cold already. I expect to eat the deep fry seafood panas2

It was a wonderful time at the secluded resort. would like to point out a number of points for future residents: Positives: 1. the houses are very nice! Even though they are a bit outdated, they are clean and still stylish. Everything you need is there, the staff carefully collected all the necessary hygiene supplies. Bathrobes, slippers - everything is there. 2. The territory of the hotel is just gorgeous - wild fauna, the first coastline, stunning views. Very nice pool. 3. Tranquility - no noisy parties - keep this in mind. This was a giant plus for us. 4. The staff is great. Very attentive, cordial, always happy to help But there were a couple things that are still worth mentioning: 1. The biggest problem is the restaurant. Please solve the problem with the menu. Every time we had to guess - what is there and what is not. But everything that was, was delicious 🙂 Also - the staff is very cordial and helpful, but still slow - you have to wait a long time for your dish, and to invite the waiter is not always quick. 2. activities and SPA are expensive. I understand that the resort, but still in conditions of monopoly the price is overpriced. 3. There were stains on the bed linen, bathrobes and towels. This should also be noted. But these minuses do not interfere with the enjoyment of this beautiful place! I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful resort!

The rooms are nice however the restaurant is terrible. The dinner was served after more than 1 hour. Everyone is hungry. We dont have any choice but to wait because it’s the only restaurant there. I also dont felt safe swimming in the beace because there are no life guards.

The staff are so friendly and helped us in everything. Upon arriving there's used towel and underwear from anonymous in the bathroom. The staff immediately cleaned it for us but it's still a bit weird. The view is stunning too. It's very peaceful at night. Just that there's no other places we can go except for the village and waterfall, or join the package offered. For those who are not snorkelling, it might be boring. But I felt relaxed for escaping from the city noise. The breakfast needed to be improved, the baked beans and the ham on the first day (27/7) were having bad smell and not fresh. Some food was not served in the right temperature. The flaming tower was not bad and sufficient for 2 pax. However, I believe the seafood ingredient can be fresher as it's not that cheap. And yeah, i love the reading room. A good place to do works! 😍

If you are looking for a nice resort getaway, just to rewind and chill.. this is the place to go.. it's on a private side of the island with a beautiful view of the crystal clear waters, soft sand, but with many rocks.. back facing the natural rainforest and the majestic twin peaks mountain. Rooms are quite rustic but it's clean which is most important but like any other beach resorts, there are still some sand on the floors and bed.. the toilet and shower works well.. my family and I had a wonderful time.. not much food choices as the resort only have 1 restaurant, but the Asian food is quite nice.. not much activities to do as well unless you sign up for snorkeling trip but it's quite pricey and my daughter is still too young for that.. but I feel, enjoyed the nature, the sea, sand and pool. Just relax and rewind.

The resort is very nice. The people are very accommodating, and the resort is also very welcoming. It’s very nice. Thanks for the hotel booking. Linda is very nice as a staff member.

Such a fantastic location and view. But I thought I got the wrong resort. The entire reception and exterior looked as if they were hit by a tsunami. Deck chairs and railings were broken and so worn out. Roofs tiles ws scattered or broken. The pool looked popular for the roaming monkeys Staffs were very pleasant but so poorly trained and confused. Breakfast was great and so was buffet dinner on the first night. But second night buffet was so bad I will not even eat it if its free. The saving grace is their rooms. Impeccably clean

We had a good stay at Tunamaya. This is a long review but it will tell you everything you need to know about Tumamaya, especially if you are travelling as a family with young kids. I will try to cover as much as I can. The service we received was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and attended to all our needs during our stay. The receptionist was kind enough to allow us to take their boat to Genting jetty free of charge so that we could explore that part of the island. From reception to housekeeping, the staff gave us a top notch service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in a semi beach villa and had views of both the rainforest on one end and the beach on the other end. Just make sure to sweep the room for any bugs and insects. There are monkeys in the area, so please make sure to keep doors and windows closed. The only minor issue we had was that the room did not have any normal tea and creamer. Only coffee, sugar and green tea was provided. We had to request it from the front desk. Although we eventually received tea, they didn't have any creamers. However, the restaurant staff was kind enough to give us some milk. I would like to request the hotel to please provide normal tea and creamers, which should be standard for every hotel. For future guests, I would advise carrying tea and milk with you or be prepared to buy milk and tea from the hotel. The beach was okay.This was not the best beach to swim in as there are many rocks but you will find some clear spots to swim, which are more like tidal pools. My advice would be to carry sand/water shoes to wear while swimming. This is a must!! Despite that, we had good weather and the sections without rocks were nice to relax in. However, if you are expecting a nice sandy beach without rocks to swim in, this is not the beach for you. Apart from the pool and hiking trail, there is not much to do on the resort. There is a small activity room with some marbles, colouring books and a couple of board games for the kids. The activities offered such as snorkeling and boat tours are overpriced at RM200/RM250 per person. I feel like the hotel should offer some complimentary activities such as morning yoga, zumba classes, water aerobics and volleyball , which will attract more guests. Also lowering the prices of the boat tours could result in more bookings. We occupied ourselves by making good use of the beach and pool everyday. So, even though Tunamaya is a very quiet and relaxing resort to stay in with stunning views of the beach and rainforest, I would suggest a maximum 3 nights stay for families or else you would get bored. Lastly, the food. Breakfast Was inclusive and it was very good. Many options are available and when the kids didn't eat the restaurant packed the food for us to take away. There is only one restaurant on the resort and the menu has something for everyone. Their crispy fish and chips and rice dishes were very tasty and we were served a decent portion. Prices of meals were between RM25 and Rm40. However the pizza for RM35 was disappointing as it was made with an ultra thin base. The kids enjoyed it but it was not worth the price. All in all breakfast is good and sufficient, some menu items were good. But we also carried our own food, which the staff heated up for us when needed. This is recommended if you are not prepared to pay those prices for food or if you are picky eaters. Overall, it was a good trip and we had a nice relaxing stay at Tunamaya.

hotel stands alone, no any other shop nearby. But family room is very good, clean. the place is quiet, hotel food is good. compared to other hotel, this can be very good option. will go again in future. one of the best hotel around.

Everything was okay but the beach very small not much
