Reception staff friendly. Really liked the offer of free cookies in the lobby and have not seen this at other Marriott properties. I had seen there was a Cracker Barrel restaurant nearby and asked if there was one but receptionist said she didn’t know. Turns out it was across the road! We used the pool and jacuzzi. Tiles were very dirty especially in the jacuzzi and ceiling and walls had large areas of peeling paint which detracted considerably. Breakfast was standard. Annoyingly the attendant kept standing in the open kitchen doorway hovering and pacing - unsure why. The worst thing was at 8.30 the reception staff came over and helped themselves to a big plate of breakfast and cooked some toast. This was at a time when other guests were eating and it meant the front desk was unmanned at a peak time when people were checking out. Another staff member then came and filled her drink bottle with free juice. Very bad look. My biggest issue was the thin walls and the noises from other rooms. The room next door had the TV on loud and I ignored until midnight thinking it would go off but no, it was on all night. I ended up knocking on the room door and received no response. I then ‘chatted’ online at 1.37 a.m and asked if someone could call the room or do a check. No response. I called front desk several times but no answer. An hour later at 2.27 a.m I got a chat response saying was it resolved. No it was not but still nothing happened. The next morning at 8.30 a.m I sent a chat about it as the receptionist was having her free breakfast. No response. As a customer services manager in a large National company and a Marriott Gold Elite level member I find these actions fell well below the mark for a Marriott property.
This is a great hotel located in Central Park in Denver CO. This location has free parking and breakfast. The hotel is approximately 15 to 20 miles from the airport. Also there are many restaurants and shops in this area and by the way Starbucks is directly across the street. Now the staff at the hotel are very friendly and professional at all times. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
This is a typical HEI will the normal amenities. Everything was great for an HEI. Staff were professional, breakfast was usual HEI, location is decent depending on where you need to go. I stayed there for several nights to attend a conference in Boulder. Not a chance being on government per diem could I stay in Boulder. This HEI was convenient enough to get to the conference. There are several places to eat/drink over the Hwy 36 bridge. Would stay here again for sure.
Nice location. New property is clean and stylish. Aesthetically pleasing. Very clean. Comfortable. Love the toiletries. This is where it ends. Check-in was pleasant enough, but not a warm welcome. It seemed as though you are an inconvenience. Also, poor communication as the lady was looking something up in the computer, but did not let me know, so you're just standing there waiting for an answer. An Atwell card in the room read ”if you need anything, let us know”. Well, I was in need of a shower cap but they didn't have any. There is only 1 dining room chair, I asked for more, but the receptionist said ”I can't get ahold of anyone so I think that's all we have”. Last item request was for a bowl as we brought our own breakfast due to dietary needs and of course, ”we don't have those but you can come down for breakfast”. Advice: You can ask for items, but that's where it ends. Most hotels have basic amenities for travelers, but not this place. I doubt we'll be returning to this place as there are many other hotels in the area that are more prepared for travelers.
Our room was very comfy, clean!! Staff was terrific! Friendly, helpful! Each doing double/triple duty at front desk, all over the hotel! The pool was perfectly balanced! Breakfast was hot, fresh, nice variety.. I highly recommend this hotel! Would stay here again!
Started with being booked into 2 bed suite when we'd been told by agent we were booked for 3 bed suite. Then room not adequately supplied with kitchen and linens for the 3 adults we paid for, and throughout stay, mostly had to request towels, washcloths, etc. The breakfast was sketchy, and the morning we had to leave to fly home, the elevator was inoperable. Carried luggage and I, who am unable to walk great distances had to walk down 2 flights of stairs. Didn't miss plane, but it was close. Other issues were TV channel selection poor and couldn;t check program info. Best thing was that the beds were comfy and sheets delightfully smooth. Sad because this was our first vacation since pandemic, to visit kids and grandkids, and may be my last long trip. One pro is that we'd requested room near elevator and they got that right.
I stayed here in July for the first itme and wasn't going to go back because I had had a nasty encounter with a microwave that hadn't been cleaned and the glass plate was absolutely filled with many layers of cold bacon grease. The lady at the desk was so apologetic & said it was so nasty she was going to tell the manager the next day. The next morning I saw the manager as I was leaving. She was also very apologetic & said she wanted to add points as an apology. I said great and...crickets as soon as I left. Never added them. She could have never offered & I would never have asked for them....but she did. Makes you second guess the leadership. However, when I needed to come back to the area in November, this hotel was the most convenient so I decided to try it again. No issues at all with the room. It was fine and clean. My only disappointment in this hotel is that the front desk employees are just.not.friendly. As a frequent flyer, I never understand why the culture of a hotel is not built around outstanding customer service which has to include friendliness. No one speaks when you walk by. One gal did say ”Have a good one” without even looking up. One evening I walked by a couple times and there were actually two people at the front desk both sitting behind screens. Not a word. Sadly, it fits with the impression that I now have of the GM. Build a culture of really taking care of your customers and this place would be a first choice not a default if I can't find something better. Next time I'm planning to try the HGI in Broomfield. Hoping it becomes my new default.
Very comfortable and clean room. Friendly staff and plenty of dining options nearby. Continental breakfast would be nice for those who don’t wish to cook while vacationing. The breakfast next door at the sister hotel was way too expensive for what was on the buffet.
Old, dirty. Breakfast is the worst I have experienced in similar hotels, no fruit or eggs, just frozen waffles and cereal . The room has many things that do not work and feels very old. The did not even cleaned the room on the first day. I would definitely do not stay here ever again.
LLuciano AMy Honest and fair review. #1. Check Out is 11 AM Sharp, if you don't they will come Knock Hard and charge you a late fee. #2. Lot's of Strange Characters hanging around.#3. S.P. like to make loud Noises late at night, i.e. Up to 2:45 AM. #4. Things were Broken and Dirty in the room, i.e. Cigarette burns in the sheets. Over all it was $68 a night, I knew what I was in for, but I won't bring my girl here. My issue of getting charged for getting out of the room at 11:04 was resolved by a Red Roof person named Shalimar Narvaez because I made a long phone call and asked to please speak to a Supervisor. It was refunded promptly, although the front desk lady was rude about it when I spoke to her. The place is dysfunctional but if I needed a cheap place to stay close to Denver I would stay there again maybe with my own sheets.
