สวัสดีเรามาพักที่นี่กับแฟนเป็นครั้งที่2 ซึ่งเราว่ามันสะดวกสำหรับการเดินทาง อาจจะเช็คเอาเร็วกว่าโรงแรมอื่น แต่สำหรับเราไม่ใช่ปัญหา ที่มีห้องครัวสำหรับลูกค้า สามารถทำอาหารได้ด้วย ถ้ามีโอกาสจะมาพักอีกแน่นอน

A really warm welcome lovely quiet room on third floor. Fabulous whit fluffy towel. Thankyou would stay again

What a delight - from arriving warm Welcome from staff - Meg was so accommodating - Nicola was just the best. The room we had was a 2 bedrooms little flat - spotlessly clean, milk in the fridge and teabags. Beds comfortable - lovely little garden area. We were extremely well looked after and have already booked our next stay. Ideal location - walking distant from train station and local bars - if you’re looking for a quick get away - this is the place to be. Thank you team Royal Ashton - we will be seeing you soon

Very clean hotel in the heart of the Town. Newly refurbished rooms. Walking distance to both Train station and car park. Staff were really friendly and allowed us to check in early. Special mention to Nicky on reception who was very professional and pleasant.

Clean, friendly, good value and close to the railway station, this hotel is uncomplicated and does everything you need. It feels like a privately owned enterprise rather than a chain. I had a street-side single room and there was not too much noise on a week night. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.

Stayed at this hotel in may 2024. Slept well. Although in the centre of town, noise from the outside world is minimal. Amazing staff, friendly and informative. Room is decorated to be welcoming and is exactly that. I was in the apartment which is very spacious and more than appropriate for a family. Although no parking with the hotel, there is parking 2min walk away which is very cheap for 24hrs.

Let me start off by stating that Meg and her team are fantastic. I stay here quite regularly for work. The staff are friendly and will go the extra mile to make your stay more welcoming . It has a kitchen where you can cater for yourself always clean and tidy The rooms are well cleaned by housekeeping she does an amazing job 100% worth the value for the money for me this is a 5* review wouldn't stay anywhere else when I come to Taunton

I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this small affordable one is completely unique. Clearly recently refurbished the single downstairs rooms which I usually use are modern, clean and comfortable. From the outside it doesn't look very special but as soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by a friendly reception team. Emma and Meghan are the two I've had the pleasure of speaking to several times and they are both amazing. Friendly, funny down to earth whilst remaining professional and in my opinion exactly how a hotel should be. All of the staff are great not just reception, they will go out of their way to help/advise and guide where needed. I hope your experience there is as good as mine have been :)

I’m writing this review laying in bed awake here. Absolutely awful establishment and i’d urge anyone reading this to stay elsewhere. We arrived yesterday and were shown to room 39, allegedly a ‘family’ room. After around a few mins of being in there room I commented that it smelled of exhaust fumes and assumed it was because the windows were open and it overlooked the main road outside. However, post a few minutes the smell seemed to worsen. After an evening out with family were returned and the room stank to high heaven of exhaust fumes, despite the windows being closed for the 6 or 7 hours we were away. I’m now laying in bed at 01.34 with the windows open, to alleviate what i think is toxic fumes worrying about my son in the other bed. Given it’s November, this is clearly why the windows were open upon out arrival. I’ll be calling the relevant authorities as soon as it’s daytime. Being a bit crap is one thing, being dangerous is another.

I would like to highly thank your member of staff the manager Megan. For being such a lovely member of staff , my boyfriend is staying at the hotel and she is going above and beyond to look after my boyfriend and help him out and it is amazing to see how amazingly kind your member of staff is. Her hard work and dedication to the job she has is incredible!

We stayed as a couple for a weekend in the area. We arrived Friday and booked in easily. The staff are all friendly. We had room No11 it was a smaller room, but it is big enough. The room was well presented and very clean. The downside was the lack of natural light. There is a small window leading to an alley. Which you can open. The room did get stuffy after a shower, so this is helpful. The shower is on the small side, but I have had smaller in hotels. The toliet top had to be lifted after we flushed the toliet as it didn't pop back out or you were listening to the water constantly. The room is right of the reception, so we sat with the TV on quiet, loud as we felt like we were in the reception. We were very aware that we could hear everything going on in reception. Which made us feel like they could hear us too. Also, the door lock was a pain. It definitely needs sorting. Overall, it's not a bad hotel. If you are looking for somewhere just to rest your head. If you like the quiet more, I would check what room you are booked into. We visited Gurkha 3 over the road. Well worth a visit, great food. Morrisons is a very short walk away, and there is a good pub on the corner. The Ale House. Which does good pub grub, too. It's a short walk to town and close to the cricket ground.
