The apartment where I stayed was spacious, featuring two full bathrooms and two large beds in separate areas—a wonderfully convenient setup. Everything was immaculately clean and beautifully designed, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, always ready with great advice on the best places to visit, dine, or even take surfing lessons with top instructors. Their recommendations made exploring the surroundings even more special. One of the highlights is the delightful French cafeteria at the bottom of the hotel—perfect for starting the day with fresh pastries and aromatic coffee. For those looking to enjoy authentic local flavors, there’s a small food market right next door, lined with inviting restaurants serving delicious regional dishes. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a quiet retreat, Mar Bontanico offers the best of both worlds. Its tranquil ambiance, thoughtful touches, and prime location make it an ideal place to stay. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

My best friends and I absolutely loved our trip in Avellanas. We had a room for the 4 of us, and what a room !! Every morning, the natural light entering the room through the glass doors was the only alarm clock we needed. Everything is designed to spend good time. We surfed, walked arround, had drinks and healthy food (you can get an açaí bowl arround the hotel). We thank the whole team for your kindness and availability. Best, Sixtine

I wish I could give more stars! Very pleased with my stay. Everything was clean, new and modern. Marie at the front desk was so helpful with directions and fun things to do. Perfect location. Walking distance to the beach and many delicious restaurants. I will definitely book again!

What a special location !! My family and I had a wonderful time at Mar Botànico. Everybody was so nice to us. The room was confortable, well decorated and so peaceful. The activities we initially planned were cancelled, so the hotel booked some new ones for us. We surfed and visited the area by horse, it was magical. Thank you to the whole team, we cannot wait to come back this winter.

Experiencia mixta en un hotel nuevo y bonito Recientemente me hospedé en este hotel nuevo y bonito, ubicado en una excelente zona de la ciudad. Aunque la estructura es moderna y atractiva, lamentablemente mi experiencia se vio afectada por algunos problemas significativos. La habitación era muy pequeña, lo que fue un poco decepcionante considerando el precio cobrado. Además, la ventana no tenía cortinas eficaces para bloquear la luz, lo que hizo que la habitación estuviera muy iluminada durante el día y la noche, dificultando mi sueño. Pero lo que más me decepcionó fue la falta de servicio y infraestructura. No había recepción los domingos y durante la noche, lo que fue un problema cuando necesité asistencia. Además, el baño se bloqueó por dentro y no tuvimos acceso a él. La caja fuerte no permitía cambiar la contraseña y solo recibimos una llave. La TV no funcionaba debido a la falta de conexión Wi-Fi. Otro punto negativo fue la falta de desayuno en el hotel, lo que considero esencial en cualquier establecimiento de hospedaje. Ni siquiera había una cafetera en la habitación, lo que fue un gran inconveniente para mí. Considerando estos problemas y el precio cobrado, siento que la relación calidad-precio no vale la pena. Aunque el hotel es nuevo y bien ubicado, los problemas de infraestructura y servicio necesitan ser resueltos para justificar el precio.

resulta que escogí el hotel porque ofrecen el servicio de cargador electrico de carro, pues mi sorpresa es que le ponen muchos "peros" para tener acceso al mismo, solo lo prestan de 8am a 5pm, solo por 1 hora de carga... una completa decepción... deberían manejar un sistema diferente, donde el huésped pueda usarlo en las horas de la noche (que es cuando se llega al hotel y no se ocupa más el carro) No sé cómo harán otros huéspedes, nosotros en Guanacaste en la mañana y tarde está uno visitando los atractivos de la zona (y se ocupa el carro). @Ines, totalmente desinteresada por resolvernos el tema de la carga... muy ajena, muy lejana.
