The hotel interior, rooftop terrace, and basement rooms are beautiful and historic. Unfortunately, the rooms have issues. The smell when you first enter the room is that of chemicals- such as insect spray. The bathroom continually smells of sewer, but the intensity waxes and wanes. My doorknob was broken and the door only worked by the key. My safe was locked so I couldn’t use it. There was no way to heat or cool the room. My room was too hot. I could hear other guests talking until after midnight. My first morning the shower went from warm to completely cold while I had shampoo on my hair. To get hot water in the first place, I had to run the tap for nearly five minutes. In a city that is predicted to run out of water by 2050, this is criminal (install a hot water circulation system!). There was no lotion provided and only two towels. The hot tubs were empty; I was told you needed to schedule them. I saw three cardio machines but no yoga mat/stretching area. I did not sleep much; I couldn’t wait to leave.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel 4 nuits à notre arrivée en Bolivie. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est parfait pour profiter du centre ville de Sucre. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Nous avons eu un peu frais en arrivant dans la chambre mais un chauffage électrique est mis à disposition. La salle de bain n’est pas chauffée par contre, la douche est donc rapide 😃. Nous avons eu un peu peur que la chambre soit bruyante avec le passage des personnes dans les parties communes mais finalement ça a été, il y avait peu de monde. Le petit déjeuner était très bon, fait maison. J’avais choisi cet hôtel en fonction des commentaires trip advisor et notamment sur la nourriture ! Personnel agréable.
