We stayed at this premier inn because we had booked the coronation street experience in media city and this hotel was near by . On arrival at the hotel parking was super easy and free . We knew the restaurant would not be open but weren’t informed about this until a week before our trip so not much time to rearrange . We thought ok we will just have to go elsewhere for breakfast . On arrival at reception the staff were friendly enough but oh dear we ended up standing there for what seemed an eternity. Apparently I’d been undercharged £2 for one of our rooms . I was asked repeatedly if I’d made any amendments or had I made a charitable donation ,( in which case I would assume I’d have been charged more not less ) to which I answered no I had not . Three staff were looking bemused at two incredibly slow computer screens unable to it seems use any common sense whatsoever. Which to me would be to let it go and let us check in as it was clearly not my fault id been undercharged .when you book a premier inn room you’re automatically charged the amount required at the time of booking . However sadly this was not the case I must admit I was interested to see how long they’d let our party stand at reception unable to check in for the sake of £2 which was at the end of the day was their fault ! . The answer to that was I don’t know at least 25 minutes , at which point my dad said look here is £2 . It was unbelievable really we were very tired and just wanted to get to our rooms . They just had no clue as to what to do . It seemed a bit over the top to say what the problem was . This is why the score is only a three it would have been a four other than this issue . Our room I’m pleased to say was quiet, clean , comfortable bed , lovely towels , hot powerful shower Bayliss & Harding shower gel . Coffee and tea available lots of tv channels nice bed linen . This premier inn is in a good location for media city etc and I’m sure is normally a very good choice of hotel good value for money .
