The K Club

We came to stay in the K club just for one night to celebrate a special occasion, and the only bad thing about our stay was that it wasn’t longer. Right from the beginning when we met the lovely concierge Caesar (like the salad ) we settled into a relaxing well needed break. Nothing was too much to ask for, our room was overlooking the pond on the grounds with a lovely view. The bed was huge, the bathroom had a shower and a huge bath which I was able to lie down in fully (I’m 5ft 2). The grounds of the hotel are stunning. They offer a shuttle service to the 2 restaurants on the golf courses but we decided to walk through them to visit the south bank restaurant for dinner, we had a lovely stroll back through a woodland with beautiful lighting after a gorgeous dinner, so romantic. Breakfast was excellent, loads of choice and made to order so everything was fresh. The cocktail bar and terrace I would highly recommend. We will 100% be back, it’s now firmly my favourite hotel to visit.

We had a wonderful stay here at the K Club in Straffan..from the moment we arrived we were greeted by the concierge,our bags were brought to our room and there was a lovely surprise there to celebrate our wedding anniversary!! The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautifully decorated,which added to a very special atmosphere! I enjoyed an exceptional spa experience as my husband enjoyed his round of golf! I had a lovely morning walk on the K trails and spent some pleasant time reading in the Library(daily newspapers provided) We look forward to a return visit in the future!

What an amazing experience at The K Club! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Tony , the Concierge was amazing! Everything we ate and drank was delicious. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. My Sister is in a wheelchair and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. We can't wait to come back again!

Had been looking forward to our stay in the K Club as it has an exceptional reputation. The staff are very helpful and professional, food good and the decor is beautiful throughout. However we did have some issues during our stay. 1. There was a really bad smell of sewage in the bathroom. We reported the problem on our first day, and the stench dissappeared. However, it was present again on the following morning. There appears to be a problem with the plumbing perhaps? 2. We were awoken at 9 am by Room Service knocking on the door, asking if we wanted room service! Not a good start to the day. The K Club is very nice but it's not perfect. I have never had a 9 am Room Service call and wouldn't want it again. We were away for a relaxing time, not Boot Camp! I hope if we were to stay again that the plumbing issue would be resolved

Extravagant wedding took place here and it was spectacular! Opened with a golf round on the South course( North course is where the Irish Open has been played). Meet & greet a short distance to Barbourstown Castle Hotel, then Wedding & reception at K Club. It is a magical place and all were very accommodating. About 20 miles West of Dublin!

Wow, what can we say that others haven’t? We had such an absolutely tremendous time staying at this property. Only a short 30 minute drive from the airport, this property felt so far away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin city. At around 550 acres this property was an oasis. Even though it was our first time to Ireland we almost missed visiting Dublin because we were so enthralled by the K club’s property. We simply wish we had more time. The hotel itself is simply stunning. We were in a Liffey suite and for European standards, it was huge and incredibly comfortable. With a wonderful shower, luxurious bath products, soft towels and a super comfortable bed. We were fortunately there a week or so before the Irish Open golf tournament so there was a natural buzz on the property. I was able to secure one of the last tee times on the championship course before they shut it down for the tournament. The conditions were unbelievably spectacular. I had such a blast playing this course. The greens were fast. The rough was long. The course was just in immaculate shape. The golf staff were so great. We spent a bundle on mementos and the golf staff was just so unbelievably friendly. We absolutely loved simply walking the halls of this property. It’s so well appointed. Very tasteful decorations. We ate both evenings on the property. On the night we arrived we simply ordered room service and honestly, it was one of the best fish and chips we had all trip! We then ate at the Barton restaurant our last evening and each course was amazing and the service wonderful. We used the gym twice and although a bit of a walk from our room, it was such an amazing facility with everything you’d need for a great workout! As with many luxurious Five Star properties, it’s the staff that helps make your stay so memorable. The K club this was no exception. Every single person we met were so gracious and friendly. Everyone went out of their way to help us. The only slightly negative thing that I could possibly comment on was the communication with the general email box. We had booked earlier in the year and any inquiry we sent was significantly delayed. I’m assuming they are working on fixing that. The K club was one of those properties that was so unbelievably comfortable and memorable that both my wife and I said the next time we are in Ireland, we are without a doubt going to come back to this glorious property. We cannot thank the staff for making our stay so amazing.
