Hampton Inn & Suites Shreveport/South

We reserved a room with 2 queen beds and ended up in a extremely hot room with a king and pull out. That is Not what we reserved. Why bother reserving a room if they are just going to give it to someone else. Won’t stay here again. When asked why we didnt get what we reserved we were told they gave it to someone else and this is all that is left.

We saw a few bad reviews as we were driving so we were a little apprehensive but on arrival we were very pleased. The hotel has been updated and was very nice. Jay at the desk was very friendly and helpful as well as Chastity with housekeeping and Sharon who served breakfast. Our room was very clean and roomy. Breakfast was delicious with great variety. We stayed two nights and were very comfortable. Location was perfect with so many places to eat nearby. We will definitely stay here next time we’re in Shreveport.

The place was nice until I seen bedbugs. I reported it and was told my room was not on schedule to be cleaned. I was also told a manger would contact me about the issue after I called days later to report the issue. I’ve yet to receive a call.

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT! Horrible experience. Hotel smelled, as it's under construction. Smells like mold and must. Probably was, as all the wall paper had been torn of the wall and the lobby had pretty much been completely demolished. Breakfast was located in a small meeting room. No trash can in my room, no alarm clock in room, shower was dirty, doors don't open to the main lobby after hours unless you have your key. My bathroom door was lopsided and off kilter, would not stay open nor did it shut correctly. The experience was also extremely inconvenient, Also the parking situation is inadequate, not enough spaces for the hotel guest. Very very expensive, almost $300 a night after taxes, and it's no better than a cheap drive up ,motel. Old property and I would strongly recommend you not stay there. Anywhere but there. Sleeping in your car may be a bit better?

Hotel was UNDER CONSTRUCTION and our travel agent wasn't warned and the rate wasn't lowered. These were the main issues: -This was a BUSINESS TRIP, and there was NO WIFI! The TVs weren't smart, though if they were, they wouldn't get internet anyway. -Pool, breakfast room, lobby and floors were under construction, and weren't available. -AC was inconsistent and pillows too soft, so sleep was terrible for both my coworker and I, in our separate rooms. -Shower water pressure was very low. -The free "breakfast" was actually held in a random meeting room. -The breakfast was very poorly stocked due to their fridge not functioning. So no milk for the cereal, no cream cheese for the "bagels", no yogurt, no cheese slices, they had no croissants or pastries, no batter for the waffle machines (why were they even put out?), no oatmeal, etc. I ended up stuffing 1/4 of a crappy, dry bagel in my mouth so we could get on the road. Almost every HOSTEL that I've ever stayed at did better in all of these areas. Reservations shouldn't be taken until guests can get value for their stays. It was so stressful we changed hotels, which made it more stressful (but was a great move for the rest of the trip). I've only ever done that one other time in all my travels. Just really unacceptable.

Very close to my job site so I continue to stay here, Just would like a clean comfortable place to sleep. And the rats are on duty after midnight. Raised my rates and got less service. What a coinception!

When I checked into my room, there was hair in the sink, the floors were dirty and you could visibly see stains from when someone sat their glass of water. There were also coffee stains on the desk. I was moved to a somewhat better room but everything was just icky. I had a very important Zoom meeting the next day and I asked if there was a quiet place I could work for about an hour after checkout before I headed to the airport. I was told no because of another meeting that would be in the conference room. They agreed to allow me to stay and the additional cost would be $40. I stayed in my room and while on my Zoom housekeeping knocked loudly on my door 4 times.... DISTURBING ME after I paid $40 to work in quiet. The last person who knocked on my door said put the do not disturb sign out....duh!! I would have if there was one for me to put out sir. The staff was not friendly at all. I told them when I checked out I was disturbed several times and the lady didn't even offer an apology or say have a good day. This is not the hospitality I'm used to getting at Hilton brands. Save you money as the hotel really is in need of updates and a friendlier staff. Diamond Member

I had a billing issue where I was charged twice for the room and the old lady that was working the night we checked in would not even pull up my info to even try to help me.. first thing in the morning I went back up front and a different lady was able to refund me the money that was wrongfully charged in less than 5 mins.. the lady the first night was extremely rude!

Booked a one night stay through Travelocity for a King Studio Suite at Hampton Inn & Suites Shreveport LA. Upon arrival we were told that our Studio Suite was not available. Manager told us we "Should have booked directly with Hampton Inn & Suites not Travelocity" and it was Travelocity's error. We were charged the same rate for the standard queen room as the Studio King Suite. Now for the $200 a night room. The refrigerator did not work. The two lampshades in the room were dirty and beaten up. The bathroom lavatory drain was broken. The shower diverter malfunctioned diverting very little water to the shower head. Had to pause my 10 minute shower to allow the tub to drain before finishing. The toilet paper holder was broken and did not support the roll. There was only one package of coffee in the room for two people. The toilet seat was not cleaned and was soiled. The thermostat controlling the heat/ac was broken. Had to turn on the heat at the wall unit and when the room warmed up had to turn it off manually. The laminated bathroom furniture was heavily marred and worn. The breakfast bar was depleted by 8AM. I will never use Travelocity to book travel and this Hampton Inn & Suite by Hilton was awful.
