This quaint homestay is right in the Dapeng Fortress. The place is beautiful, asthetic, clean & very comfortable. The owner & her team is very helpful & friendly. The price is also reasonable. Clean bedding & quiet. We were greeted by fireworks 🎆. Can hear but can't see, but we looked up to a clear beautiful sky with stars in the courtyard at night. Bring your own towel, toothbrush. Hot shower is available & very powerful flow of water. The owner also recommended a beautiful place to visit for a great view of the beach from up a mountain. This is about 30mins + car ride. I will also share a photo of this place that you can visit while staying here. This 7 Eleven has the best view. The noodle store next to it, has the best local food & a very nice lady boss who cooks very well. Strongly recommended. Thanks. 😊

I really liked the place the bed was so comfortable and it’s very convenient, there are many restaurants around and it’s clean. The owner is very helpful as well.

Staying in this majestic ancestral house was a truly special experience. Guests will surely appreciate the warmth of the hosts, the beauty of the family home, and the joy of connecting with such a lovely family.

Our stay at Liang’s Shuwu hotel in Dapeng old city was excellent! Situated inside the old city, the house is lovely and the hosts are very kind! Our room was a duplex with a very comfortable double bed upstairs and a sofa, desk and toilet and douche downstairs. The lamps and Chinese style furniture made it very beautiful and cozy! We had breakfast in their lovely lush garden. Our host asked prepared a  breakfast with homemade dumplings and Chinese pancakes which were delicious! We will happily come back to Liang’s Shuwu hotel!

This hotel was great to stay in, with a friendly host family, and comfortable beds. The bathroom was shared, but was very clean, and the water pressure and hot water in the showers was perfect! If I come back, I would definitely stay here again. *if you’re driving, parking in the area is a bit expensive (30元 to 50元 per 24 hours)*

This was my second time staying here, and just like the first visit, everything was wonderful. The hotel is a small, centuries-old courtyard residence that gives you a real sense of living in history. Waking up in this traditional space, with its quiet courtyards and ancient architecture, feels special every time. The owner makes the place truly special. She’s completely focused on making guests feel at home—and she’s an amazing cook too: - On my first longer stay, every breakfast was different and homemade, including fresh dumplings she taught me to wrap myself. - This time, she prepared a delicious vegetarian dinner just for us, perfectly suited to what we like. Even after checkout, her hospitality didn’t stop—when it rained, she let us relax in a cozy room with great tea while we waited. It’s this combination of unique historic atmosphere and genuinely kind service that keeps me coming back. Already looking forward to my next visit!

My family had an amazing time! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful surroundings and the traditional decor. The courtyard house was very clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But most importantly, lady host was very helpful, warm and made us feel so welcome! Water pressure is strong and the beds are very comfortable. Pictures didnt do justice to the real deal... simply stunning! The outdoor area was a highlight, peaceful surroundings, beautiful mini gardens and cool area even when you sit in the living room where we could relax and enjoy the nature. The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and amenities. We had a lot of fun exploring the area, but it will always be a treat to come back to such a lovely place. Overall, this ancient courtyard house exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway with family and friends. We can't wait to return. Thank you for having us. Excellent location, the hotel is within the Dapeng Ancient City, Many cafe and restaurant inside the the fortress as well that you can enjoy. The room is clean with own bathroom. Host is hospitable.

I stay here every time I come to Dapeng, one of my favorite parts of visiting the fortress

She charges the least in the area, but most of the time the house is just empty. Often I was the only guest and she also went back to sleep in her own home. Last time I stayed there she brought some "long term" customers to stay there. They were going in and out of the kitchen and sitting in the little cafe outside eating fruit, which was beside my room and drinking until over 3am. I was the only other guest and a woman, but I had to go out of the room at 3 and asked them what was going on. That's when they knew there was another guest there. She obviously didn't tell them and next day acted like it was nothing. I would not suggest this guest house as the guesthouse manager does not care about people's sleep and obviously doesn't care about rating. The day before she was playing music loudly in the cafe the whole day and she watches her C-drama on loud the whole day as well. She tells people to go out in the scorching heat to the beach so she can sit alone and enjoy her dramas. Basically there is not enough room for people to stay in this small house without having to stay out most of the time if they didn't want to.
