"So beautiful and peaceful place. First time in Tarragona. And we are so happy that we chose this hotel. Petfriendly. And our french bulldog got treats pack that was made by people with disabilities.
Everything was super clean, and the service was outstanding. You can feel the attention to detail in every corner. Would definitely come back!"
"Location: The hotel is located near the train station, but getting there requires climbing a steep hill. It’s puzzling why the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle bus to the station. On the bright side, the hotel faces the sea, offering stunning views. There’s also a sightseeing mini-train right downstairs, which costs €8 per person. It takes you around some of Tarragona’s main attractions, but it doesn’t stop along the way, nor is there any guided commentary.
Service: The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming. They not only recommended excellent sightseeing routes but also some very delicious restaurants. Since we arrived early for check-in and our room wasn’t ready, they kindly offered us the option to use the gym facilities to change clothes if needed.
Cleanness: Good.
Facility: The mattress was terrible. Why do mattresses in Spanish local-brand hotels seem to always sag so much? Do they actually prefer that sinking feeling?
Overall: Great value for money."
"My friend and I were there only for one night, so we didn't have much time to explore the city or the hotel but it left a really good impression. The stuff was really friendly, helpful and ready to provide information (and a map) about the city. Room was pretty clean and nice, it even had a little balcony with a pretty view. Bunk bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was private but outside of our room. Even though it's was strange, it didn't caused any inconveniences as it was just right outside our room and you can access it with your ”keycard”. There was a common area with a small kitchen, a fridge and some tea. The hotel was pretty close to the train and bus stations. Also, you can find some stores nearby pretty easily"
"The room itself was comfortable and the location was good. We were also aware in advance that the hotel does not have a 24-hour reception and relies on a self check-in kiosk, which we were prepared for and had no issue with in principle.
However, our experience became extremely stressful when the kiosk was unable to recognise a valid booking. We arrived close to 10pm after delays on our high-speed rail journey. Despite having a confirmed reservation via Trip.com, the kiosk could not locate our booking — neither by surname nor by booking reference. We tried every possible option for over 45 minutes late at night, with no access to staff support.
With no alternative, we were forced to book and pay for an additional room on the spot just to have somewhere to sleep, leaving our original (already paid-for) room unused. By the time we finally checked in, all nearby restaurants were closed and we went without dinner.
The following morning, resolving this issue was equally frustrating. There was no reception until midday, meaning we had to wait around and lose a large part of our day. When we eventually spoke to the front desk, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the distress caused. Instead, responsibility was deflected onto the third-party booking platform, despite the fact that the kiosk is designed to work with either a booking number or a guest’s name.
Only after firmly explaining that the kiosk failure had forced us to spend nearly €100 on an extra night did the issue seem to register. While the additional night was eventually refunded, the lack of empathy and accountability left a lasting negative impression.
It’s a shame, as the hotel itself has potential. Unfortunately, due to how this situation was handled, I would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone arriving outside normal reception hours."
"Everything was fine and stressless stay. The location is convenient for access centre city. Car parking was no problem in the B1 of the Hotel building. Only the thing I do not like is the bathroom does not have a lock, and sound can easily leak outside. it was difficult to keep privacy…"
"I have stated in both the apartments (which are excellent) and the hotel Lauria.
First, in terms of value for money, the hotel scores high on location, but very low on amenities: The rooms are quite tired and contain a bed, a TV, and a desk. There is no fridge, no electric kettle to make tea, no iron or ironing board. Even so, I paid about $450 NZD for 2 nights.
The location is fabulous, right on the Rambla near the beach lookout.
Service: amazing! Friendly, accommodating staff who are happy to support their guests (I had an accident while in Tarragona, and the hotel staff helped me in so many ways.
The apartments are great, but the hotel rooms are comparatively basic. Even so, I will definitely stay here again when I return to Tarragona."
