It's a very cheap motel.i knew that,I booked it,I have stayed at a lot of cheap motels because I have to drive from Florida to Connecticut frequently.i get there & go in to pay for the room & they want to show it to me 1st before I pay because they don't give refunds.as we are walking to the room there are 2 women sitting on an outdoor staircase,1 is braiding the other's hair & in the parking lot there are a dozen children playing ages maybe 3-14.i am a middle aged white woman & the guy showing me the room is Indian & he says "it's ok they won't hurt you or mess with your vehicle" the same way someone with a pit bull would say "it's ok he won't bite you.had I not just driven from Pittsburgh to Savannah I probably would have gone off on him & told him while he was obviously a ****** POS I am not.i know that cheap motels often have families there because shelters are overflowing & the state pays for them.i am white & I live part time in the south & it busts my soul that people just assume I'm a racist(too) & I am especially not afraid of women doing each others hair or children who are playing that happen to have more melatonin than I do.if they had been plaid or had multiple appendages or tentacles I might have been concerned for my safety but they were not they were children & 2 moms who I knew were in sorrowful life circumstances & having to live @ a RAT HOLE motel & while they may have a different colored exterior they are pink on the inside just like me.half of me wanted to tell the guy who also had a different complexion(Indian)how awful he was & not getting a cent out of me I would go find somewhere else & pay triple & I am disappointed in myself that I didn't but I had just driven 13 hours & was going to have @ least an 8hr drive the next day & I needed to sleep.so he shows me the room & it was "adequate"(had a bed) & the shower worked & I saw no sign of vermin & needed to sleep so paid for the room & crashed.it was about 10pm & I crashed hard.i was woken up by a knocking sound,knew there were other people & rooms & wasn't going to be bothered but it continued & I eventually realized it was someone knocking at the door so I get up & it's the older man who had been behind the counter that I had paid not the younger guy who had showed me the room & apologized for women & children being black & he has a paper in his hand & is telling me I didn't pay enough for the room & I owe more money.at first I was half asleep & confused but as I woke & looked @ the paper credit card receipt he was showing me my lifetime struggle with not having the Russian or Irish temper added to being woken up after a 13 hour drive did not manifest into me being very polite.i looked on the paper & receipt & yes there was a discrepancy.i had been charged $55 & it should have been $57 but he is trying to tell me I also owe another $12 that is OBVIOUSLY the amount that the website I booked on PAYS THEM & I honestly don't know if he is trying to rip me off or if he just doesn't understand so we argue & he wants me to just hand him my credit card & that's not going to happen so I told him I don't have any cash on me & I would get dressed & meet him back & the office to work this out.i do & go down & argue with him more because while I do technically owe $2 it is not my fault he didn't charge me right I certainly do not owe the other $ that ******* pays them & that I don't know if he is trying to pull 1 off or just an ***** but that I am absolutely fine with calling the police & letting them settle it & magically the younger(racist)guy appears & they have a discussion in Hindi & he apologizes & tells me it's ok & I don't have to pay them the $2 in my hand I do actuality owe & am ok to pay even though it's not my fault they charged me wrong & woke me up @ almost midnight instead of settling in the morning when I checked out.i doubt many have read thru this rant.if you have & you are a fellow traveler please don't give them business,if you work in social se

It was next to a cook out and across from a Publix. The toilet didn’t flush,there was no smoke alarm,the towel had bloodstains on it,the covers had cigarette burns,it was insanely uncomfortable bed.

Filthy room. Stained towels. Hairs in the sink. I had to ask for soap and shampoo. No water cups. Non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. Smoke detector knocked out of the ceiling with wires hanging out. Cigarette burns in the comforter. No table to eat food or work at, so I had to hunch over the end table.

Every part of the room was dirty and smelly. Including the toilet, shower and trash can. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but smelled like a wet ashtray. There were cockroaches everywhere. Tv never worked. Dirty used towel left in shower.

Mirror, microwave, outlets, and bed were broken. Shower water became cold after five minutes. Tv remotes barely worked.

Upon checking in I head to my room. Open the door and the room wasn't even cleaned! No sheets, no towels, floor was disgusting! Go back to front desk the older man barely spoke English, argued with me. About the condition of th

There were dead roaches on the floor; dirty towels laid out for guests; no tv service; the bed spreads had multiple cigarette burns; the room(s) spelled strongly of cat urine; the front office spelled like straight septic tank waste; the furniture furniture was raggedy and outdated... I feared for my life! I came in town for a wedding and didn't want to inconvenience my daughter, who lives in the on campus apartments at SSU. When my daughter saw the conditions of this place, she flat out told me that I wasn't staying here!... I went and stayed with her, instead. Beware of this place! If you have to stay here, bring bulks of Lysol, plastic gloves, face masks, and Febreeze!... Be on the lookout for chalk outlines. I could have sworn that some people may have died up in there! This is not a very inviting place to stay!
