I stayed for one night on Mother's Day Weekend. After having a small issue resolved, the host was extremely accommodating. There was a brief moment prior to the Pandemic when motels were turned into boutique stays. The Brentwood was one of them. The rooms are welcoming, comfortable, and clean. The walls are a bit thin; there were friends in the next room over who sounded like they were getting caught up on all the gossip. No bother, they shut it down and it got quiet. The location is tough to beat. Consider this: The Saratoga horse track is promptly across the street. I think it's turn two of the track that is directly across from the hotel. On the other street corner is the Horseshoe Inn, a great little restaurant with decent food and drinks. There is a Mexican restaurant behind the Brentwood, but I did not try it. As I packed up early Saturday morning, the jockeys came by atop their race horses, casually clop-clopping their way past the hotel on the way to the track. I did have misgiving about the place based on other reviews, but here's what I found: the innkeeper did respond in a timely manner (she lives up the street). I did book via a third party site, but it was as if I did it through Brentwood's page with information. The keyless entry system was a bit of a learning curve. I struggled with it. There was another guest who struggled with it, too. This, too, was resolved. The bar was not open during my stay, but don't forget, the Horseshoe is across the street. The place could use a little tidying; the saggy Christmas lights and dilapidated corn hole boards could really be tossed. I would have given the experience four stars, but the innkeeper really went above and beyond to help my one-night stay that I booked through a third party site. I would definitely come back and use the Brentwood again.
