We booked our trip to Chile through Trailfinders and this hotel was recommended by them as a good base for some local wine tasting. The location is lovely, set amongst the vines, about 30 minutes from Santa Cruz town. It is a short walk to good restaurants ( Chilean, Italian and Japanese). The local vineyard ( Laura Hartwig) offers tours or you can pop in for a glass of wine. The Terraviña hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful with local information and restaurant recommendations and bookings. We stayed in a triple room which was a good size, had character and had a wonderful view of the vineyard. We felt that it needed some upgrading however, especially the bathroom. The shower needs updating and the shower curtain needs to go. No headboards on the beds and only 2 chairs on the terrace. We enjoyed the breakfast - wonderful fruit and cakes. Even though we had a very early checkout, a picnic breakfast was provided for us. We ate one evening at Los Poetas restaurant which is attached to the hotel. We enjoyed the food and excellent service, although the menu had too much fish and mushrooms for our personal tastes. The pool area is very relaxing with plenty of sunbeds under awnings. Some of the cushions were stained though. Overall, a lovely hotel and base in the Colchagua Valley.

A good hotel, the pool area is nice to sit around after a day visiting the local wineries. Breakfast is decent and the rooms are comfortable and a good size.

The hotel had a great buffet breakfast which was included with your stay. The staff were helpful and friendly would offer to book restaurant reservations. The only complaint was we found the air conditioner fan to loud.

What a beautiful hotel! Excellent generous breakfast, clean room overlooking the vineyard, kind and helpful staff, lovely pool area to relax in, and three restaurants on site or within easy walking distance. Not located in town so you need to drive a few minutes to grocery stores or the museum, but perfect for a quiet relaxing stay in nature.

This is the least welcoming hotel I have ever stayed in. The only thing colder than the welcome from the front desk was the reception area itself (the guy was in an outdoor coat and a fleece). We were immediately advised that we probably wouldn’t get any sleep the second night as the hotel makes money by running party nights to 2am. Room also freezing - apparently they don’t turn the radiators on even though it is winter and seriously cold. Room in poor state of repair throughout. Having decided to cut our stay in half and leave asap (yes, really that bad), the manager offered tea and sympathy but nothing more. The team need training in hospitality and the hotel needs some major renovations. Awful and a real blight on our trip to Chile. Avoid.

Scenic location around Colchagua wine route. Beautiful views. Long way from Santiago. Very mediocre hotel - old building, poor pool maintenance, have to haul luggage up steps to first floor, NO water or kettle in the room, shower not worth having! Inadequate information on arrival - restaurant closed on certain days - wish we were told. Better hotel near Santiago - a drive to the vineyards of this valley might be wiser. Last stay on our holiday wasn’t spectacular☹️

Clean and spacious suite, fantastic staff and service and very picturesque location

When you arrive at Hotel Terra Viña, a peaceful world opens up where nothing is amiss. I have been a tour guide twice for a total of 40 Danish tourists, and they all, without exception, have enjoyed the hotel. Waking up to silence in the middle of a vineyard and then enjoying a delicious breakfast was a great start to the day. The restaurant was excellent, and we received an entertaining course on the national cocktail, the Pisco Sour. I can only recommend the hotel as a must-visit if you are going to the Colchagua wine valley.
