Wonderful little hotel in the desert!

Me encanto es rústico pero hermoso lugar es encantador !!!

Accommodation is simple but all you need. Comfortable beds, extra blankets, plenty of towels. Shower was good. Outdoor areas were lovely. So many different spaces to sit and relax. Our favourite - lounges by the pool listening to the sound of the water. FYI the pool was freezing :P We moved cushions from some chairs to pad up the wooden lounges. Included breakfast was better than we expected given some other reviews. Omelette/ scrambled eggs bar, antipasto selection, range of breads and pastries. Fresh fruit, cereal & muesli. Sautéed chicken, fried rice & potatoes. Fresh juice, flavoured water, tea & coffee. We were well impressed. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the outdoorarea was very beautiful and relaxed. But; our room was not the cleanest, and we did not recieve houskeeping while we stayed there for 2 nights - that would not really be a problem, but when you cant throw toiletpaper in the toilet... and we had to ask for new towels. The wifi was also very bad, and some of the lightbulbs on our room was broken. The restaurant on the other hand was really good with simple, but great breakfast and other meals. A very nice hotel that has potensial, with a great location in San Pedro.

The express breakfast needs to be replenished every few minutes. People who leave very early for the geyser tour take all the food, and people who have a later tour end up without it. The breakfast on site is excellent. The accommodations are also satisfactory, but it needs a little more lighting and coat racks. The cleanliness of the place is good. The reception staff needs to be more patient! The food at the restaurant is average. The meat is extremely tough, which makes it hard to eat, which leads to waste. In short, Don Raul has excellent value for money. We had a good stay. It needs some improvements, but overall it is a recommendable hotel!

This family-owned hotel has a gorgeous, spacious, relaxing courtyard -- a gem during our trip in Chile. The waterfall feature of the small pool provided a nice sound and we could see the sunset as we sipped our cocktails. Breakfast was included and offered good choices, other meals were also available. Our room, while definitely compact, was tastefully decorated and had air-conditioning. The courtyard was always quiet at bedtime. Overall, a very good vibes hotel.

Cramped and cold room, stinky bathroom with no extractor fan, excellent breakfast, great location, polite and attentive staff. As no one goes to San Pedro to stay at the hotel, I would recommend it, anyone looking for more comfort will find some points about the rooms.

Everything was ok, despite an incident in the last days. On the second last day, I left my wallet at the hotel, inside my bag, which was inside the closet, to go on a tour. When I returned back home and did my financial balance, I realized that 100 Euros were missing from my wallet. I want to make it clear that I write knowing that the guests' property is their responsibility, however, as I went out that day to hike a volcano, I thought it would be safer to keep my wallet in the room, since I wasn't using cash in Atacama, only credit card. I am writing to report what happened so that you can be aware of possible incidents at the hotel. I understand that individual actions do not reflect a company and the whole crew, but I tried to contact the hotel later and I didn't receive any sort of explanation. I checked on Booking and there's another comment about theft. The other guest was there last month as well.

Very nice structure, staff and food at the heart of San Pedro at the Caracoles St! The rooms are very comfy and clean. Staff super nice and always willing to help. They also have amazing restaurant. In 9 days, I have only one meal outside the hotel. The common area is also super nice. I’ve been able to just sit, relax and read my book. Super recommended!

Great staff, location, room and excellent communal area good for waiting for the day’s tours. In that communal area there are lots of power points to recharge your phone if you’ve had to arrive before room check in, or wait for a while after check out

An oasis in the desert. Forget the hustle and bustle of Caracoles street when you enter the spacious plaza of Don Raul. The place is well staffed, the room clean and comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. A shout out to Patricio who was more than accomodating. The pool is brisk and refreshing after a day of sight seeing. Next time we go to Atacama, we are staying here.
