A charming hotel/pub/restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also delicious. It was my birthday and I was given a glass of prosecco and a brownie with whipped cream and candles for dessert. A lovely touch. There is a nice big garden area, and they even provide blankets and hats in case you're cold. The common areas in the hotel are very comfortable with couches and armchairs and a log fire in one of the rooms. I am giving four stars because we had a great time but be aware that the room is more basic than the price suggests (£158 for the night for a twin room, ensuite): no fridge, no safe, no wardrobe, although hangers and hooks are provided to hang clothes. The beds are very comfortable with wonderfully soft and warm duvets and pillows. There was good quality tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and the toiletries were also good quality. On the whole, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
We held a birthday dinner for family and friends. The welcome was warm, the room was wonderfully decorated and sparked with celebration. The food was top notch.the staff were attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful evening. I would thoroughly recommend the White Hart for your celebration.

We booked for a long weekend and certainly chose the right hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the food was lovely, we had breakfast every day and it was spot on, we eat two evening meals including a Sunday lunch and again we could not fault the staff or the food. I have already been recommending this hotel to friends and family, rooms lovely and clean and full of character. The only very slight issue was our room was facing the road and over the bar, so it was a little noisy at times, but this didn't spoil what was a lovely stay.

Stayed for two nights. The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. We had breakfast plus dinner in the evening. The restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming, Francois was exceptional. Meals were very generous and presented really well. Karen, who was on reception was lovely and really nice to chat to. Also, Chris, the duty manager was lovely and friendly, the pair couldn't do enough for us. Thank you so much for a lovely stay

We cannot fault this place at all. A wonderful experience. This is a small and friendly place to stay with personal service and attention from the owners Paula and Cyrille. It was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were spacious; warm and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! For dinner we had the mussels with frites; the sirloin beef and the lamb shank. All 3 dishes were tasty and generous in size - we cleared our plates! My sister and I shared the selection of mini desserts - 6 portions which were just the right size. My brother had a fabulous cheese board with a great chutney. The prices were very reasonable and the service was faultless. There is a small and cosy bar for before and after dinner drinks. After a good night's sleep in comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings we had the best cooked breakfast ever. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much.
CcloudliuStayed for a big family birthday celebration Friday to Sunday and ate here from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime. We had all four rooms which are are above the pub but have their own entrance with a little garden at the front and a lobby area with seating inside (perfect for meeting and having pre-dinner drinks) that all the rooms lead off from. Our room as large with views front and back, large comfortable bed, great tea facilities with fantastic homemade cookies, bathroom with bath and plenty of quality toiletries. Good free wi-fi, we slept very well with no noise from the pub. All the food we had was excellent. The menu changes slightly each day (roasts added on Sunday) and although it is quite expensive the quality is very high and portions great. Two ciders including the excellent Cranbourne Chase real cider on draft! Service was fantastic at all times from all staff who were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also brilliant with homemade granola/compote and yogurt followed by various freshly cooked options including full English and smoked salmon. The inn is hidden away down a narrow lane and there are great walks in several directions straight from the door. Highly recommended!
Stayed for one night, rented out four rooms for a reasonable price considering the location and quality. Staff was extremely kind, food was amazing, rooms were very cute and maintained the original vibe of the older building while having very modern bathrooms. Everything was in working order and it seemed like every small detail was thought of. Our rooms had working tvs, fans, and comfortable bedding and the bathrooms had heated towel racks and shower toiletries. The stay was overall very enjoyable and I would definitely come again. :)
Me and my partner spent the bank holiday Sunday at this shepherd hut. It was only for one night on the way back from somewhere else but it was a lovely stay. The shepherds huts are really nicely decorated, we had one with a London scene painted on the ceiling. The shepherds huts are in a yard in the pub but even though they are next to each other they were still enough privacy. You can have breakfast in the pub which was £12.50 for a buffet I believe, we didn't have the breakfast but we did have an evening meal there and it was really nice. We attended the live music night which was entertaining. Overall I would recommend this place. It's handy for Stonehenge and Woodhenge is literally a few minutes down the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Sublime stay - very quiet rooms with nice views, new amenities, accessible by bus to Salisbury, Amesbury, or to Stonehenge by bike or car, and helpful kind staff and service! First class feel for value price. The food is also good - Salisbury steak is available along with good local ale although we had the butternut squash sotd.
