I had such a positive experience that I signed up for Trip Advisor solely to write this review. My wife and I have traveled to some of the best hotels in the world, and The Carlton truly stands out. Alessio Ripamonti and the rest of concierge staff promptly and professionally responded to my many requests (I sent over 30 emails to plan activities, confirm reservations, activities, etc.), including some of my requests that, quite frankly, were almost unreasonable. Some examples of the service include (i) delivering $100 in cash to us in town when we found ourselves in an establishment that only accepted cash, (ii) apologizing that one of the hotel’s complimentary Bentleys was going to take five minutes to arrive to pick us up from dinner (and then it showed up in about one minute!), (iii) without us even requesting it, they lugged our big bags onto our train cabin and got us situated (true door to door service!). There are countless examples, these are just the few that immediately come to mind. The service is impeccable. The rooms, all of which have fantastic balcony views over the lake, are an elegant blend of old charm and modern convenience. The restaurants onsite are both superb. The complementary breakfast is terrific, and the dining room is beautiful (see the pictures I included with the review). The spa/pool areas (three flood, including an outdoor hot pool with a view of the lake) is spacious, well designed, and has everything you need. They even have a complimentary daily sauna ritual that is the perfect way to rejuvenate from a day on the slopes. They have a ski rental shop on site, and provide transportation to and from the main Corviglia cable car. I could go on and on, but the takeaway is this: although the price tag is considerable, it’s more than worth it for the experience. I recommend this hotel and cannot wait to go back soon. - David

I had a great staying! The staff is very gentle and available, the rooms are big, the interior of the hotel is elegant and cozy and the lake view is just priceless. The best part of all was the spa, one of the best I’ve been to. Also 5 stars for the Grand Restaurant at the hotel!

The Carlton hotel is “Top of the World” The staff are very professional, warm and kind,exceeded all expectations. Everything is perfect: spectacular views, wonderful location, live music at the bar,, very good breakfast,tasty food at restaurants,impecable service, clean rooms with outstanding views, excelent spa, the attention to details… all absolutely amazing!

Great stay During our stay, we found the majority of the staff to be exceptional in their service and friendliness. However, we did encounter a slight challenge with the concierge. Unlike the rest of the team, his demeanor felt a bit less welcoming, and we often had to work harder to extract information from him. Typically, we expect concierges to be eager to share insights and provide helpful recommendations. Overall, while our experience was largely positive, a more engaging approach from the concierge would have enhanced our stay even further.

Carlton st.Moritz is special. Visiting for ski, relax and food. Every detail is at the finger tips for these activities. A perfect stay, will be back, thanks to all staff and management. Keep doing exactly what you do, its perfect. Stayed in twin junior suite, and its a perfect home when you are in st. moritz/the Alps.
