It was the smallest hotel room that we have ever stayed in. The headboard of the bed was against one wall, the side of the bed was 12/18 inches away from the window and the wall at the bottom of the bed was about 12/18 inches away from the end of the bed. The only way to navigate around the room was to walk sideways like a crab. The wall at the end of the bed had a wall mounted TV, and with the bracket fixing it to the wall, it protruded about 6 inches away from the wall. In order to get to the bathroom, you have to walk sideways along the end of the bed and then bend 45% so that you don't bang your shoulder against the TV (which we both managed to do at least once). We went in June and it was hot.If you left the window open, you were kept awake until the early hours by the loud revellers leaving the bars and restaurants. If you had the windows closed, you couldn't sleep as you were uncomfortably hot. The hotel really needs some Air Conditioning. The staff were really nice, particularly the receptionist, Nicholas who was very helpful. The breakfasts are good, so it's a real shame that the room was so tiny and rather spoilt our stay.
A very clean and comfortable hotel, in a great location, on the sea front. Sillon beach is a minute walk across the road. Our room had a sea view, it was clean, had tea and coffee and an enormous, comfy bed. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided in the small but modern bathroom. The old town was approximately a 15 minute walk away, at a slow pace, along the seafront. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, enough to keep us going for the day.
This hotel is the standard Mercure. Clean, better than basic, fine. But don’t confuse this with the other Mercure in St Malo. This one is a fair distance from intra muros. The welcome was less than graceful. Greeted by a rather distant receptionist. We were told that the indoor parking was full and then directed fairly peremptorily to a nearby car park. It was all fine, but not what I came to expect from Mercures in my working life. She seemed to respond better later when I spoke French, asking where breakfast was to be served. It was the usual Mercure. Reliable and fine for work. If you want something special on holiday, maybe try another place,
MMobile48542484459Superb sea view room booked at a good rate through Brittany Ferries in a ferry and hotel package. Amazing listening to the sound of the waves as I went to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a wonderful bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate rain shower. The room was so luxurious and the view so good we didn’t want to leave and didn’t manage to try out the pool and spa area downstairs. The hotel is situated right next to the old town with a good choice of restaurants in close proximity. We had continental breakfast in the room and it was ok
ผผู้เข้าพักVery elegant hotel located on the beach. Beautiful views of the beach and sea. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke English, but some of the waitstaff didn't. Has spa within the hotel property that offers a variety of services. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices. Rooms were clean and quiet. Air conditioning and wireless worked great! The biggest downside is its distance from the town center. A good 30 minute walk down the boardwalk. But a lovely hotel with fabulous views of the channel.
Le Beaufort was a great place to stay to visit St.Malo. It is right on the beach and is just a short walk to town. Rooms are comfortable as were the beds. Bathroom is impeccable and we had maid service performed daily while we were out exploring. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has great afternoon tea and dinner there was delicious. They do have a parking lot but we ended up parking in the street without issues. Loved this little gem.
Great small hotel situated a stones throw from the ferry terminal. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Everything we wanted. Great as a stopover. I wouldn’t go there for a holiday as it’s not really suited for that. Secure parking behind a barrier A warm welcome on arrival.
The mattress is terrible. Kind of like sleeping on the floor, but with springs and a bar in the middle. The bathroom had a tub, but different colors of mold growing in the caulk and joints. Decent sized room for France, but layout could be better ( and without the bunk bed). But really the mattress is terrible ( this is after asking if another room had a nicer bed and being told that pillow tops were only in 3 star hotels). Spend an extra $10 to get a nicer place and not toss and turn awake for hours.
