This hotel is basically a motel. Stayed 5 nights. Was disappointed with cleanliness and customer service. Room wasn't cleaned two days in a row - had to ask for towels and toiletries one of the two days that it wasn't cleaned. When it was cleaned, the toiletries were not replenished. Couple times the room wasn't cleaned until late (4-5 pm). Funky smell from water (faucets and bath). Windows are thin - can hear everything (heads up, you will definitely hear the peacocks, doors, people talking outside the room). Sink was clogging. Pillows hard/lumpy and bed not ”premium” (no pillowtop) as noted. No drapes in room as stated in site. Pictures are deceiving on their site. The motel needs upkeep - painting, cleaning, maintenance. Breakfast subpar. One time the eggs tasted like they were re-heated. The employee working in the breakfast area did not smile once, say good morning, or have any hospitality. They need more help at this place - and better help (people who are happy to be there and happy to welcome their guests and take pride in it. When we checked out, they didn't even ask how our stay was. This place should be much cheaper (motel pricing). Next time we will go to one of the other better known hotels, even if it's pricier. That would have made a much bigger difference on our trip. When you go on vacation, you want to feel comfortable, and taken care, and feel the welcoming, warm atmosphere from it's employees when you arrive, during your stay, and at the end when you check out. You also want a clean room - everyday. This place didn't provide that. Just being close to attractions doesn't cut it.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Vilano Beach. It was a close walk to a beautiful, clean beach. We were told the pool wasn’t warm, but turned out it was! We skipped swimming because we weren’t aware until it was too late. The breakfast was great and well stocked. We paid a little extra for a balcony but the view wasn’t good. Don’t waste your money on a balcony. We paid for valet parking which ended up not being necessary. There is plenty of street parking. It was overall a clean hotel and very friendly staff.
I had a stay Sarah is amazing the pool and hot tub are clean nice quiet place to stay at a hotel and every one is so helpful and has time for everyone the bar restaurant is great and so is the breakfast and you always have someone cleaning you will love your stay
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed at this venue for two nights for our trip to St. Augustine. The hotel was very clean and had been recently updated. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. We immediately felt comfortable there.
On the first day, we went to breakfast at 9:30. There were no egg products available and a couple of bits of sausage. There were NO FORKS!!! We spoke to the person who oversaw the breakfast and she apologized and said there were no forks. I complained to the front desk and they agreed to take the parking charge ($20/day) from our bill. The following day, the breakfast was fully stocked, even forks!
This hotel is a gem. Close to everything. We would definitely stay there again.
Our experience at the Smart Stay Inn was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk personnel. The room was very clean, and the pool area was so relaxing. Great staff and friendly. Nice restaurant in the area and not far away. I would recommend this hotel.
SSeabrookgalWe stayed here for two nights and made reservations through Holiday Inn. The price per night was close to $300, which was outrageous. But we wanted a Holiday Inn. There were very nice aspects to this hotel. But also some improvement, needed. On the plus side, our room was nice and clean although small. The bathroom was very roomy and we liked the Dove personal care products offered. The WIFI was a bit slow. But the beds were comfortable, so all good there. We arrived extra early (1 PM) and the guy at the desk, Andrew, couldn't have been more helpful! He checked on our room and found that indeed, we were able to check-in early. And he was very patient with us, explaining the many things to do and see around St. Augustine. He recommended Casa Reina for dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed. He was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We also talked to the house-keeping crew a number of times and they were always very pleasant. We looked into having breakfast the next morning and found the offerings weren't that appealing and the breakfast room very small. So we drove to the McDonald's down the street. It was nice that they offered coffee and hot water 24/7. There looked to be a nice pool, but the weather wasn't nice enough to swim. Our biggest complaint was the parking lot: it was extremely small and hard to drive around. It we had a big SUV, we probably wouldn't have been able to park here. This hotel was nice and close to Downtown. If we were younger, we could have walked across the bridge. If I had to plan this trip again, I would have tried to find a more reasonable hotel right Downtown where we could come and go, walk almost everywhere and not have to find (and pay) for a Downtown parking lot.
We made a reservation online and asked to stay on the top floor so that we would not be near pets as this is a pet-friendly hotel. We like to stay at La Quinta’s as they are usually quiet and the beds are comfortable. They did comply and put us on the top floor, however there was a family on that floor with 3 dogs in their room. We complained to the front desk and were told they were full that night and when that happens they allow pets on floors other than the designated area (first floor) and in rooms that are not designated for pets (which to me means they don’t care about guests with allergies). The clerk said “they are clear down the hall from you.” These were not well behaved, quiet dogs. When with the owners, they were barking and when the owners weren’t present, they barked even more. At 6:30am the owners went to breakfast and left the dogs in the room, so they of course were barking and disturbing other guests. If putting pets on other floors in non pet designated rooms is now La Quinta/Wyndham’s policy, we will not be staying at La Quinta again. This was the second time in a week that we had this problem in a La Quinta while traveling.
RRick BTonya at the front desk is so kind and professional!! I feel like I'm coming home when I see her! Everything is run right when she is here!! The other girls they have had here are usually rather indifferent. Twice they have insisted I leave saying I hadn't paid when I did pay!! Then when the man manager came by I pleaded with him. He finally corrected it in the system but the girl never even said she was sorry that happened! * She really did not care at all!! That's been a while ago but I've never forgot what it feels like to be treated that way! * I miss Tonya when she isn't here!!! * I love the swimming pool!! * The rooms are kept clean. There was no electrical outlet anywhere on or even near the nice large table desk! How am I supposed to plug my computer and speaker in?? * That is super inconvenient!!!! *There is no breakfast served here whatsoever!!! * Every other hotel I go to has at the very least has a grab and go breakfast if not a full breakfast!!!!
ผผู้เข้าพักThe cleaning staff is very hard working. The room was great for the price besides from the sticking door. Breakfast was what expected and parking was a plus. Landscape died. Courtesy and service at the counter needs to be a bit better. Keys deprogrammed daily. Water pressure at sink was insufficient but shower worked well. Lobby, specially the feeble signature oak staircase gives you a cheap and haunted welcome and feels unsafe....what were they thinking? For the price, i shouldn't be complaining...but it takes so little to improve the experience. So, why not?
We weren't expecting much but the rolling carts at 3am and people outside arguing half the night ruined our sleep. Room did look clean but honestly looking at poor repair job in bathroom showing water stains, mismatched paint, poor patches, etc just makes it look like the owner gave up on the place. Ssriously, $100 wouldve at least made the bathroom respectable. It's a shame. Only 10 from amphitheater and so close to beach there is a lot of potential. We expected more from a Quality Inn.
