Our quaint apartment was impeccably clean and so well appointed. The fresh fruit, cereal, milk, cream and pasta ingredients were a five star touch. We created a delicious dinner and sipped on hot tea every morning with the windows open looking at the sea. What a view of the sea. Dennis our bell man escorted us to our unit from the taxi stand with ease and friendly Croatian style. The Angelo D'Oro staff at the hotel were also incredible and they manage this apartment with precision. The hotel is quite nice too. Our Rovinj experience was top notch thanks to Angelo D'Oro. Highly recommend Trevisol unit #3 right by an amazing all day chill hip cafe. Thanks again Dennis!!

I would give this a ”very good” for the property as it was nice and nicer than I expected. The room was equipped with a kitchenette and a really nice big balcony. I was there out of season so couldn't fully appreciate the balcony, but it was a nice outdoor space. What wasn't so good was the check-in process. I booked through **********, and on none of the communications was the name of the rental people (I forget their name now but it began with an A). I duly communicated or tried to communicate through ********** as requested. I explained that I was driving from Zagreb and would let them know when I landed so they knew when to expect me. At that point they made me aware that I would need to go to the office of the rental agency and then be taken to the property. It was dark by the time I arrived and the gateway was right off a main road onto a one way street, having been in the country 4 hours on my own in a hire car, this was not helpful. They didn't respond to the messages through ********** but had at no point given me their direct details which would have helped greatly. Eventually I had to phone a Croation phone number from my English phone (don't know what that's cost me) to be quite rudely asked ”where you are you then ? Did you not follow the instructions”. Which, yes I had, I just didn't know if I was in the right place or not. The chap was out delivering another couple to thir property and he told me to wait and he would come back for me. Which he duly did. I left the car at their office that first night as the parking was unclear. However the next day I was able to park near the property, so that was good. They would have come and got me again on checkout day if my car was at theirs. This did negatively impact my initial first impressions - when I said that if I had been given a bit more info it would have been fine and the chap said I should have googled it ?? But googled what ? The process works, but it would be so much better if everyone knew what was happening. I was then given their watsapp number, which is their phone number, but again, you only know that if you know ! THat made it much easier and I was able to message as I checked out. So, the property was nice, its a great location. I don't want to sound negative, but things need to be clearer - especially when using third party platforms.
After reading previous reviews I was a little hesitant about our visit here. We have just arrived home after a lovely week in this part of Croatia. The hotel was spotless with cleaners around all day and all extremely friendly. We had a premium double room on the top floor at the end with a lovely balcony so was extremely quiet just what we wanted. The bathroom was very big with walk in shower the best we have experienced travelling abroad and a very large bath which was also used. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me and again on the large side. We also had coffee making facilities but never used them as there were no sachets of milk provided so chose to go out for coffee. The only real fault we could pick with the room were the chairs on the balcony which were to say the least a strange shape and very uncomfortable especially when you suffer with back problems. The breakfast in the hotel offered a wide choice but a larger range of different cereals would have been nice but that is just a minor complaint. We always found loads of sun bed available on the beach area and on the grassed area of the hotel the ones by the pool seem to have been taken very early on but that was never a problem to us as we preferred the grassed area and beach The reason I have only given this hotel 4* is it would have been nice for a little courtesy bus to run to drop you in the old town as the walk takes approx 25mins-30 mins so this option would be an added bonus. We also chose not to eat in the hotel for meals as we found them very expensive compared to array of restaurants in the town and most of the time seemed very empty such a shame as the settings of these restaurants were lovely maybe a bigger choice and a lower price would lure more residents to eat in the hotel especially if they have had a busy day exploring. All in all we had a lovely holiday here and the old town is a magical place so glad we visited
Yet another 5 star visit to this amazing hotel. The hotel is located in a bay with breath-taking views. It is a flat 20 minute walk along a well-lit, paved promenade to Rovinj Old Town passing the Marina and harbour on the way. There are lots of restaurants and bars in The Old Town catering for all food tastes and price ranges. The food is also excellent in the hotel. There was an amazing choice at breakfast and if you choose to eat in the hotel of an evening, the restaurant is excellent. The interior of the hotel is lovely and hotel rooms and bathroom are so spacious and, thanks to the housekeeping team, everything was very clean and well-kept. All the hotel staff were very friendly and polite and reception staff were extremely helpful, with a special mention to Monika. We loved our stay, we love the hotel and we love Rovinj!

Third time at this hotel and we still LOVE it!!! It's designed for young families, to perfection. It's not cheap, but what you get are gorgeous rooms, top class service, amazing food (not repetitive, even over 2 weeks). And a kids club that is out of thir world. It's like all the fun bits of school in a safe and secure environment with highly qualified staff. We caught the road train into the town, which is also beautiful. We also did a few other activities, olive oli tasting at Cadenela and the medieval theme park, both amazing. The camp site next door has had a LOT of investment and more to come that looks very exciting. Even on a rainy day, which we had a couple in 2 weeks, there is still plenty to do. Indoor swimming is big enough to accommodate everyone. The staff and can't do enough for you, they really make this place special.

We have been going to hotel Molindrio for 10 years with my parents and sister and are club members. Every year has been a great experience but that all changed this year. From the beginning the reception has told us every year that we are free to use the beach at hotel Parentium and we are also able to use the white chairs to lie down. We have been doing this ever since. This year we were approached by life guards at the beach asking us why we were using the white chairs if we are not guests of hotel Parentium, because this was not allowed. We explained that we have been doing this for years and had been told by the reception that this was not a problem because we were guests at the sister hotel Molindrio. When we made the reception aware of this altercation with the life guards they first claimed that these chairs were never offerd to us by the reception and that we were lucky that we had not been caught earlier for using these chairs ( which made us feel absolutely horrible, we just did what the reception has told us for years that we could do ), after we explained that we are not lying and have been guest for 10 years and have always been using these chairs they switched up the story and told us that there is a new management and there are new rules so we cannot use these chairs at the beach anymore ( so now we are not liars but the new director has given these orders, reception could have just told us this from the start instead of making us look like liars ). So we had to lie down on the concrete. My dad has a bad back and instead if a relaxing vacation his back got even worse from lying on the hard concrete with just a towel. Absolutely disgraceful! Furthermore the food this year was of very poor quality. The fruit they served was either rotten or without taste, which left us really feeling disappointed especially because we have been coming here for years and have always been so satisfied with the food. Needless to say we will not be coming back anymore after being treated this way. We are very disappointed.

We stayed in the 1-bedroom apartment with terrace and sea view at the Residence Porta Antica in Rovinj for 2-nights in mid-Apr (€160/night). The residence was perfectly located on the pedestrian walkway on the Rovinj harbour, amid all of the stores and restaurants and backing onto old town for a short hike up to the church. Be sure to arrange with the hotel a pick-up at the parking lot just outside of old town - you can't drive into the historic area, so it is a bit of a haul dragging your luggage over the cobblestones – and they are happy to send someone out in their golf cart. Our 2nd floor suite was perfect, fronted by a wide balcony (the only one in the building) with a table and 2 chairs to enjoy the view over the restaurant below onto the harbour. You enter into a large sitting area and kitchen fronted by two windows and a double glassed door (the room is light and airy) with heritage accents throughout in the high ceilings with dark wood beams, accent walls of huge stone, and antique pieces among the couch (hide-a-bed), table and chairs. The kitchen had a mini-refrigerator, hot plate, pots, cutlery, dishes etc., as well as a pod-coffee maker. The bathroom was small and a bit cramped, as you would expect in a heritage building retrofit with modern conveniences, but comfortably functional. The bedroom was also a bit small, but the queen bed and pillows lulled us into perfect sleep in the quiet nights. The two closets provided plenty of storage space. Breakfast at the Hotel Adriatic (almost next door) was fabulous, the best a la carte selection we have had on this trip. And to top it off, the residence's staff were great, cheerful, friendly, and very helpful with travel planning, restaurants, everything. Overall, stay in this room (none of the others are as nice) – it is a bit more expensive, but the balcony makes all the difference. You will not be disappointed.
CCrystal VThis is such an amazing hotel in the heart of old town Rovinj. Our family loved the rooms, especially the decor. The staff was very helpful and we were very pleased with our stay. There is not an elevator or lift, so if you are traveling with older family members or anyone who can't handle stairs, make sure to request a room that is not difficult to get to with luggage.
PpgilliesThe hotel had an excellent location, pool was ok but cold. The grounds were fabulous and the availability of loungers was plentiful. The hotel had it own section of beach where the sun loungers were free. The evening entertainment was sparse and there was nowhere to sit inside, 20 seats max. There is a large seating bar which could seat 70 people with a bar and stage but it has not been opened for over a year, very puzzling. The hotel staff were efficient but not particularly friendly or cheerful. I generally found them cold, little attempt at conversation, you feel much more welcome in Greece or Spain. The housekeeping service was excellent, cleaned daily. The buffet was very crowded unless you went in off peak hours, queuing was the norm. The food was Ok in the the main but a bit bland and repetitive, my wife is a vegetarian and there was very little cooked food for her. I found the hotel bar and food prices quite expense $5.80 for a small glass of wine, $7.20 for 500ml of local beer. The location, 20 minutes walk to the beautiful town of Ravinj was excellent, with pretty coves and bays nearly, beautiful. The hotel has its own bike hire hut which was a bonus as the riding is very easy and there are loads of easy paths to use. $30 euros for the day. If asked would I go there again it would be 50/50, they were some excellent aspects location/pool/beach and location to Ravinj, but the lack of evening entertainment/seating and the coldness of the staff coupled with an average very crowded buffet would make me think twice.
