This is the best hotel you will get in Rongjiang. I would say the standard of fit out is similar to a Atour hotel for example. However, this is a brand new property and has a lot of gaps and it feels like the hotel is at a pre opening stage rather than a fully opened hotel.
The Landry in very small basically only one washing machine and one dryer. But after each wash there was water leaks all over the floor as they have not installed the water pipes properly.
The rooms are clean but air con keeps on switching off and you need to keep on changing cold settings to turn it back on. Another annoying thing is the toilet light. Even when turned on the sensors will turn off the light halfway through a shower. So you need to wave the sensor to turn the lights on again.
The reception staff are friendly but clearly lack the polished service. I purchase two nights and added to additional night which I paid at the hotel. But the evening staff don’t seem to communicate with the morning shift. I received a call on the third day around lunchtime asking why I didn’t check out when I paid for two extra nights at reception.
There is supposed to be a gym but no equipment and the football field below is nice but entrance to the field is not yet setup.
Finally, breakfast is very very basic so don’t expect much. Noodles, eggs and a few veggie dishes but quality is quite low.
Milan International Hotel
Milan International Hotel is a high-end Guizhou hotel themed on intangible cultural heritage (ICH) indigo dyeing, masterminded by Mr. Zhang Zhenke, the chief designer of Beijing Qishierchuang Design Studio. Beyond offering luxurious accommodation and comprehensive facilities, the hotel is dedicated to serving as a dynamic showcase for Guizhou's ICH.
The hotel itself stands as a work of art that blends tradition with modernity. The design of the lobby's dome draws inspiration from the drum towers of the Dong ethnic group, featuring a hexagonal honeycomb structure inlaid with colored lights—where light and shadow dance to tell the millennia-old legends of the Miao mountains and Dong rivers. At the center of the lobby, a massive art installation crafted using the "tie-dye" technique pays tribute to the Miao myth of "Butterfly Mother," establishing the hotel as a new cultural landmark in Rongjiang. The lobby floor also echoes the hexagonal pattern, working in harmony with the dome to interpret the contemporary aesthetics of ICH. The reception area is adorned with table lamps shaped like Miao silver ornaments, while the corridors showcase silhouettes of Dong drum towers and a blue color scheme—all elements that constantly highlight the unique charm of "Guizhou ICH" and "indigo dyeing."
From the magnificent architectural design to the delicate in-room amenities, every detail embodies the ingenuity of Guizhou's ICH inheritors, craftsmen, and contemporary artists, offering guests an immersive cultural experience.
Strategically located in the core area of Rongjiang's "Village Super League" (a popular local amateur football league), the hotel is just a stone's throw away from the vibrant Village Super League stadium. Guests can enjoy a front-row view of the dazzling fireworks displays during the exciting Village Super League events. As night falls, brilliant fireworks bloom right outside the windows, allowing guests to savor this breathtaking romance without stepping out of the hotel—adding unforgettable moments to their journey.
RRichard LLLocated close to the Bell Tower, this is a simple, clean homestay with a friendly family and good value. The village is very pretty. Nearby is a great local restaurant, the sour fish / beef is really tasty.
RRichard LLThis is a cheap hotel, and for the price it's worthwhile. My room was clean and suitable for one night stay. There was a problem with the air conditioning remote which took a long time to resolve, and it was difficult to heat the room thoroughly even when it was working. The proprietor is helpful, though be aware you may need to call her when you arrive if she's not at reception. The facilities in the room are basic, and I needed to ask for a kettle.
