Maison Colosseo (Via dei Querceti 24)

we stayed in room minerva, a quite big room compared to other guest houses we've been to. the place is very clean, and very well taken care of. our guest was very polite. you can't get anything better so close to the colosseum.

Room is clean and has everything one would need. Breakfast is adequate. Only downside is the tenant upstairs has small children and you can here the children running and riding their bike upstairs. Annoying. Ilaria is helpful and responsive they What’s App. Access is a little complicated with so many doors and keys but the building is multiuse so it’s necessary. Location is very good.

Room itself was good but very noisy, the upstairs tenants had small children that rode there bikes around and ran up and down the halls. You are basically left to your own devices to figure everything out. It’s always a bit worrisome when you receive a video on how to use all the locks!! 4 different doors to enter. Breakfast is minimal. Probably would not stay here again.

llaria, is very kind and helpful. The location is perfect for the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. I would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at the guesthouse. Ilaria was very helpful to us. Our flight was very delayed and we didn’t get in until almost midnight, but she arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and to let us into our room. The driver was very helpful and we appreciated his late night service. The room was very pleasant. In Europe they don’t use AC as much as we do in the US, so when we came in the window was open and it was pretty warm in the room being peak summer, but the AC cooled the room very quickly and we were able to cool it off when we came in at night before going to bed but without leaving it on all day. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. We really enjoyed the coffee machine in the room and the bottles of juice left in the fridge every day. The breakfast was just packaged toasts and cookies, but it was fine for starting the day. Especially as we generally went down to a bar for a cafe and corneto on our way to our activities. The bathroom was spacious, but it was a little funny that it had motion sensor lights. So one night the lights went out while I was in the shower and I had to stick my arm out and wave it around for them to come back on. Ilaria also helped us arrange a taxi upon our departure which was helpful, although we only saw her in person once during our stay she was very easy to contact on WhatsApp for help. Location is great, easy walking to the colosseum and forum. Also easy walk to different subway stations. This is not a hotel, it’s in an actual neighborhood and building where real Romans live. So you get a more authentic experience. Highly recommend.

This is the perfect location if you come to Rome for easy walk to the colosseum. Host of this hotel is amazing, helpful, and knows the area for assistance. The rooms are super cute, comfortable beds and the breakfast is ala Italian style and dining around the corner is amazing.

Close to the Colosseo and a wonderful area for a walking tourist. Very small room but all I needed for one person. Lovely hostess and this morning the staff were so friendly. A substantial Italian breakfast. I would have liked some ice, or a freezer to make my own for the warm wine I had! But that’s such a small thing. Value for Roman money for sure.

This hotel was conveniently located near the Colosseum, metro station and a variety of great restaurants. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The room was large enough to spread out our luggage and clothes, the bathroom was updated and cozy and the amenities they provide smell great! The breakfast they provide is perfect to start the morning and get your day going.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to rest your head while you are staying in Rome, this is it. It’s nothing special, but the AC, shower and bed were great, the staff was very kind and helpful with directions from the time I landed to the time I arrived to the guesthouse. There was a convenient store, walking distance to colleseum and plent of food options.
