I had not stayed at a Red Roof Inn for years (decades), so I had no idea what to expect. The room was perfectly adequate. It was clean and quiet. Even though this location has two buildings and quite a few rooms, I heard no parking lot traffic noise of people or vehicles. I did struggle a bit trying to find the lobby. My GPS could not get me there exactly. The lobby is at the SE corner of the building that is parallel to Bus Hwy 20, the building on the north side of the block. The best part of my stay was walking into the lobby that evening and being greeted pleasantly and professionally by Tiffany Allen. She made me feel welcome, as if I were coming home after a long absence. She got me checked and gave me all the information I needed to get to my room and find a place for dinner quickly, clearly, and pleasantly. Tiffany's great skills were the best part of the stay. I want to stay again just to be greeted with that wonderful smile!
Had the opportunity to stay at the Rockford Holiday Inn this past weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised. Staff was great, room was very nice and very very clean (which is very important to us and I'm sure everyone else). I believe the card in the room said the room was cleaned by Maria C.....Well, big shout out to Maria C. The room was immaculate. Can't complain about one thing. Always worry about the bathroom in a hotel, but it was CLEAN. You'd think we were the first ones to use it. Absolutely spotless from top to bottom. Shower was immaculate as well. Please give our regards and thanks to Maria C, She made our stay perfect.
Olivia at the front desk was so helpful and respectful when i stayed i would say it was the best hotel i’ve been to so far !! The hotel room was so clean and nice , the beds were comfortable, also the breakfast lady sang all breakfast and was very friendly i loved it !
Llinz382We've stayed at no less than 6 different Hampton's all around the midwest. This has to be by far the worst I've seen. Our stay at this hotel was for 3 nights, Thursday thru Sunday. While normally they come every other day to refresh the rooms nobody came at all. As expected, our trash was overflowing. There wa no coffee maker in our room, and the area behind/under the tv was GROSS. I'm not sure how long the food had been under the tv, but it def wasn't ever cleaned. The fridge did work great! In fact, it froze my food. Breakfast was about half what it normally is, with no orange juice the entire stay, no waffles the last morning, and had to wait for coffee /eggs multiple mornings. Our room's ac did not connect to the thermostat, and fell about 2” out of the wall. I notified the desk and it was (mostly) repaired when we returned. This hotel has no laundry which is unfortunate as we were there for soccer and require washing uniforms multiple times. The outside was NOT well kept which was extremely noticeable due to this being located near 4 other hotels with well manicured lawns. On day 3 finally a landscaping company came to hack the 3 foot weeds that were everywhere but only after they stopped inside to help themselves to juice and food from the breakfast area. Overall, it looks like there has been some updates to this hotel, but not enough to meet the standards of a Hampton Inn. With no laundry, broken AC units, old LOW toilets, wrecked carpet in all the common areas, and old windows that let sound in this was a disappointing stay. Staff did get things done when requested, but I felt like I was imposing by asking. Would i stay again? Probably not as there was at least 3 other hotel options next door that were cheaper and nicer. Truely Unfortunate this hotel hasn't had the care put into it that most Hamptons have.
Very nice clean room, and the grounds seem well taken care of. I felt safe and slept well. The coldest A/C I have ever had in a hotel!! Hardwood floor was a nice touch and appreciated, makes everything feel cleaner. Breakfast was surprisingly good, not a full spread just the basics but more than I expected, and the dining area was very clean. Staff was friendly, Top knotch econolodge!
We stayed one night on a road trip and were very pleased. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. It’s an older property but the room was nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was on par with other Wyndham properties - eggs, waffles, juice, cereal, yogurt. This Days Inn met our needs very well!
AAdam UFor those looking for a moment’s sanctuary in the darkness, the light is always on, and they still take cash! A simple, affordable, deal room in an environment that is safe and takes care of the guests. Your still in Rockford, so expect to make quirky new friends, but the owners and management of this motel genuinely care for the health and safety of the guests, of all stripes and colors and crazy. There are hot tub rooms, but this is -not- a party motel with smoking and vice. If you are looking for that (and who isn’t?) then look elsewhere. If you wish a moments peace, you have found the place.
