I DO NOT recommend this hotel. I drive 8 hrs from Fl to SC. I go to check in and the front desk lady was so distracted. She would ask me a question then turn around and have a full blown conversation with her coworker. Our second night at the hotel I killed a big ass ant that was crawling on the BED. Within an hour of doing that I see this big ass roach crawling into my bag. I decided to go down stairs to complain. I walked down and it was a little before 11pm. I proceed to tell the guy in the front (his name is Matt). I tell him I killed a roach in my room, he turns around and said “it’s a South Carolina thing and that type of year”. I pulled out my phone and showed him the picture and he said “that’s a palmetto bug” .. sir I am from FL I know how a palmetto bug looks and that’s not it. That is not the response you give a paying customer. His manager (Evelyn) walks in and he tells her the same thing and she said the SAME EXACT thing he said. I asked so what are you going to do?? She said I can comp your room. Okay that’s fine. The NEXT day they came in and cleaned our room and the dead roach was still there!!! Never again will I stay here.
Excellent time at your hotel. The front desk was one of the major things that made a huge impact on us. Monti was amazing & such a pleasant, helpful, kind, happy & professional associate. A great asset to have. Casandra was a chip off the block also with helpful, happy attitude & service. They all made the hotel experience one of a kind & we will be back & send others. The upkeep at the hotel was up to standard as expected at the great Marriot & we thank you for all of it.
1st time staying with Holiday Inn in years. Check in was quick and easy. The room was updated and clean hallways and common areas also very clean. I travel for work so when I got back to the hotel it was nice to be able to just change clothes and go down to the restaurant for dinner. I had the best Rose martini I’ve ever had and the food was delicious the bartender was also very nice as well as the rest of the staff. I was even more impressed when the bill came and it was the cost was the same as an average eat in restaurant. After dinner I was able to take what seemed like an hour long shower with hot water that never let up & neither did the water pressure. I loved the updated walk In shower BUT wish they had updated the lighting. The bed was very comfy (I like a soft mattress) with a thick duvet cover. The ac pumped out freezing cold air and the wifi signal stayed very strong. Plenty of outlets for all my devices to charge. They are just normal outlets no usb. Booking didn’t list it for “breakfast included” but it was. They had several hot and cold options. The only negative is I travel for work and have to have a formal receipt for reimbursement. since I booked with Booking they couldn’t give me a proper receipt (one with the actual price) said I would have to use my confirmation email. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels using booking and never had this issue. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in town. Again I forgot to take pix before bringing my luggage in and seems I forgot to take one of the bathroom/shower
We were in town for the funeral of my brother-in-law and needed a place to stay for 4 nights. Good price and close to my husband's sister and her family. The check-in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. The room was good, but upon walking in we had the smell of Chinese food. It was long lasting, so we stopped at the Dollar Tree and picked up a plug-in air freshener, which eliminated the smell. Room was spacious with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. Beds were too hard for my liking, but others might like that type of bedding. That is just preference, so no bearing on the hotel or room itself. Full kitchen, which we did not utilize. Walls seem pretty solid, as we never heard a peep outside or from other rooms. Breakfast was meh. They had some Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, which are already tasty. However, the scrambled eggs were rock solid and quite bland. My husband enjoyed the sausage. Took forever for them to refill the waffle mix and by the time they had we were ready to leave for the day. Overall, it's great if your not picky (I have two picky boys), but if you are there is a Cracker Barrel across Dave Lyle Blvd, which is quite yummy. No housekeeping on the weekends, unless requested. Overall, it was a good stay. I'd recommend it to others, but I think I will pass on it because of the hard beds.
This is not a ”pet friendly” hotel. We stayed twice in one week last year and had no problems checking in with our cat. However, on the way back there was an issue with having our cat and were told they only allow dogs. After I stated we had stayed there a week ago with no problems we were allowed to stay. Then as we were a half hour early from their check in time, we were made to sit in the lobby exhausted from traveling with a pet that was exhausted from being cooped up. And, no, it very much did not appear to be a housekeeping issue it was strictly a unhospitable time issue. we are getting ready to do this yearly trip again and need to find a true pet friendly accommodation.
RReina DI had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The room was always spotless thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff, who clearly pay attention to detail. Every member of the team was incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, and it made the experience so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere!
Room was excellent. Shower was very good but can be slippery. Loved the body soap and shampoo available. Continental breakfast was good. Plenty to eat with lots of variety. Eggs and sausage needed to be a little hotter. No problem with the staff. But suggest calling ahead for their pet policy. Construction on street when we were there. Not many restaurants nearby.
We like Comfort Inns but they can be hit or miss. This is definitely a hit. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Breakfast so so but that may be b/c of COVID. Good restaurants nearby and we recommend the Pump House. Definitely recommend. Book via Choice Hotels for best rate.
ผผู้เข้าพักStayed here for two nights recently with my partner and son. We used this hotel as our base for our visit to near-by Carowinds. We were reasonably pleased with our experience. We found the rooms clean and comfortable. There were some minor issues (really nitpicks) that aren’t worth mentioning. Bottom line, we slept well. The breakfast was decent; the usual array of muffins, bagels, yogurt, eggs, juice, coffee and tea. It ends at 9 AM, which is a bit early in our opinion (we are not early risers). If you miss breakfast there are lots of fast food options in the immediate area. (A side note, after our Carowinds visit we decided to get supper near the hotel and almost all restaurants were closed by 9PM, so keep this in mind if you are making the commute like we did) Some people mentioned the elevator not working, and we were a bit concerned about this. However our concerns weren’t warranted, as the elevator worked perfectly fine. My one gripe is not something that is specific to this hotel, but is something that’s far too common within the industry; the lack of daily house keeping. The excuse was “Covid” and protecting the house keeping staff, but that isn’t a thing anymore. We are paying good money to stay multiple nights in your hotel, you can at least have our garbage emptied and beds made. Having traveled to over a dozen countries (on four continents) in the last year, I can tell you that this is only an American thing. All in all we had a good experience and when we visit Carowinds in the future, we will consider this hotel again.
