Kassandra Hotel

I arrived at the hotel quite late and I was checked in very quickly. I couldn’t find my room easily but the receptionist took me to the room. Room was very large with a food prep area, cooking facilities and kettle. I didn’t use anything as only staying a short night for early flight. There was a descent sized bathroom. All facilities worked well. The bed was comfortable and large. At the front there was a small grass area with garden furniture to sit. There was a large pool. The bus stop to airport is just outside the hotel. Very easy to get to from central town area and en route to the airport. I would stay here again as it looked really nice. There were lots of families with young children and it looked very busy. There is a short walk to the shops and restaurants so not far to socialising. The beach wasn’t far. The hotel is set just off the main road. There are houses surrendering it. The picture is from a walk around the old town and not of the hotel

Very convenient located, 50m from a bus stop where is about half way between airport and Rhodes city. Polite and efficient reception. Room is spacious and reasonably clean with hot water for shower. Kitchen is well equipped. However there is no dish washup liquid provided so I could not clean my pots and dishes after cooking.

We stayed at this hotel for one week and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Our room had mold, and although we paid extra for breakfast, it was inedible. We found hair in the food, and the staff preparing it did not wear hairnets. Cups, plates, and cutlery were dirty and had food residue on them. The hotel staff were rude and at times even threatening, which made us feel very unwelcome. The pool was also dirty and murky. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

We managed to book this trip (hotel + flight from Stockholm) at a very cheap price, 2 adults & 3 children (ages 10, 12, 14) for about 2000 euros! So we didn't have high expectations BUT, the rooms were spacious and clean, the balcony had a quiet view of the villa neighborhood, 2 pool areas with sun loungers, several bars and restaurants, fresh toilets, and an outdoor shower. A 10-minute walk to the center of Ialyssos and 450 meters to the beach. A bus stop 75 meters from the hotel to both Rhodes town and the airport, easier than transfer. We have stayed in both more luxurious and more expensive places, but we prefer to spend money on excursions, food, and experiences. Of course, it's not a new hotel, but we have only good things to say about Kassandra!

I was happy to stay in a budget hotel and expected it to be out dated and didn’t mind as it was just a base. The cleaners came every day which I was impressed by so although the room was shabby I knew it was clean! It was a bigger room than I expected as well as the studio for 2 there was a separate double bedroom. The bathroom floor was constantly wet as the shower curtain wasn’t fit for purpose. You had to pay extra for them to switch the air con on so we didn’t bother. My daughter was keen on using the gym equipment and spa. - There was none available as seen in the photos online. The ‘gym’ room was full of builders tools and rubbish. The sauna, jacuzzi and treatment rooms were closed. The pool side bar in photos looked like it’s not been open for years. We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 pools to use and plenty of sunbeds. The staff could be a bit rude, we asked the receptionist to order us a taxi and she made me pay €5 cash to her and told me to pay driver another €20 to the old town, I’m guessing the €5 was just for her to call taxi firm! Once there we realised that the journey should have cost €15. The food in the taverna was very good, we ate there several times and most of the staff were pleasant. There was one older guy who was very rude though and spoilt it for us. He took down our order wrong and when he brought the wrong food he got really angry! (No such thing as customer always right here!) rather than apologising for his mistake and our inconvenience he was muttering and laughing with his colleagues, making a big deal and when I paid and he asked if it was card or cash and I said card, he rolled his eyes and said “of course you’re paying with card” indicating that I was a problem and they all laughed, it was my last day and I had run out of cash, I didn’t want to bring several Hundred euros in cash!! He then had the cheek to point out where to add the tip. He really spoilt it for us. Entertainment in the evening was either non existent or very poor. Great location, close to the beach and a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants. Very close to airport and old and new towns. Would I gonna k to Rhodes? Yes, would I stay here again? No.

Nice atmosphere. Rooms ok clean and usable. Fine food and service in restaurant. A little boring surroundings. Easy to rent a car. Supermarket closeby.
