"We booked a standard room but once checked, there was a problem in the room. The receptionist was super reactive and upgrade us to a deluxe one. The hotel is nearby nice restaurants and reception offers help to book tour etc. Very good service. Make sure you have mosquito repellent as there are a lot over there."

"Filipino hospitality is second to none. The people are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. So what makes the staff at the Funny Lion so special. Well, they simply go that extra mile. On our first morning, we almost missed breakfast, but fortunately the staff noticed we hadn’t been in and gave us a call to remind us the breakfast room would be closing soon. When they heard we had an early morning tour the next day, they checked we were OK for breakfast, they reminded us to pick up some beach towels (we had forgotten) and checked we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is also nice with two restaurants and a rooftop bar. The main restaurant does a buffet on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There’s a fair range of food, but I thought there could have been a few more Filipino dishes to try. The Mexican restaurant was also OK. The starters were very tasty especially the ceviche type dishes. The mains weren’t bad but it would have been even better had the dishes been a bit more varied. The rooftop bar was probably my favourite of the three. You can lay in one of the two the mini jacuzzi-type pools and sip a cocktail while watching the sun set. It’s worth taking advantage of their happy hour (5-7pm) where they do a BOGOF on their signature cocktails (very good) or 4 beers for the price of 3. Their pizzas in the bar are pretty decent too. They are individual pizzas so if you’re hungry one might not be enough. As for the room, it was OK. I think we should have paid a little more and gone for a better room, but it was fine. It was pretty standard with a mini-bar, TV , air-con and safe. The nice thing was the freshly cooked biscuits they would leave us every day. Those, the lovely welcome and departure gifts plus the truly excellent service makes the Funny Lion a hotel I would most definitely recommend."

"The staff were always super helpful and kind! The facilities were really good for the price! It was not so close to the town but they provide a tuk tuk shuttle anytime to go and it worked quite well! Only improvement point would be to have more options for breakfast."

"We stayed here for 3 nights. The pools are big and clean. Most staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK for basic needs. It is about 15 mins to get to the downtown area by a tricycle/TuTu. I also stayed a night in another hotel Corona Westown Resort which is only 3 mins away from here. I would definitely choose here again on my next visit."

"Butter sweet really my mother passed away after the first day we checked in staff were phenomenal caring and attentive front desk and Esperanza who came to Assist at the hospital - everyone was supportive and helpful - and for that I am eternally grateful- bathroom could have been cleaner - but that’s being critical x"

"I stayed there 5 nights. The front staff was very kind and friendly. The restaurant was good. I like the atmosphere. I could ask to keep my beer on their fridge as I didn't have it at my room. Speaking of my room, it was specious but a bit difficult to reach because I need to climb many stairs. However, if I need a hair dryer, I could ask the staff through ” what's up”, which was really convenient for me. Thank you Camila and one another ready."

"Довольно старый отель, с устаревшими номерами. Плохо работает свет, плохо охлаждает кондиционер, слабый напор воды в душе. Но при этом чисто. Завтраки неплохие- 150-180 песо, есть возможность заказать трансфер в/из аэропорта за 250 песо с человека."

"เราอ่านบทวิจารณ์ที่ไม่ดีมากมายและสงสัยเล็กน้อย แต่เราตัดสินใจที่จะให้โอกาสนี้ ประสบการณ์ของเราไม่เหมือนรีวิวที่ไม่ดี ห้องพักสะอาดและไม่มีแมลงหรืออะไรก็ตาม ทุกอย่างทํางานได้ดีในห้อง มีแม้กระทั่งทีวีพร้อมเคเบิลทีวี เราสั่งอาหารเช้าและอาหารกลางวันล่วงหน้าในช่วงเวลาหนึ่งและทุกอย่างพร้อมในขณะนั้น นอกจากนี้อาหารก็ดีและราคาก็สอดคล้องกับที่พักประเภทนี้โดยทั่วไปอาหารคือ 300-400php พนักงานก็ดี การนั่งเรือทํางานได้ดี อย่ากลัวรีวิวแย่ๆ!"
