This was my 4th treatment with the Aheli spa at roseate reading hotel. I have been to a lot of spa's and without a doubt Aheli gives you the most for your money. From the lovely women who greet you and trailer plan your massage/treatment to the treatment itself. The whole process is professional and welcoming and the attention to detail is unmatched. I will never go anywhere else for a massage.
Two lifts out of three not working. Remaining one had no light except the glow from the control panel. We were floor 9. Lift took us to 4, then 13, then 10, then 4, then basement, and back to ground floor. My wife has claustrophobia and does not like small dark enclosed spaces. Helpful staff led us through to next-door Ibis where lifts were working and illuminated, and gave us a card to use them.
Price of Snickers bar and similar items is £2.49. Costs 99p in small store just along the road.
Room was OK when we finally got to it, but initial experience puts us off using Novotel again.
Get down to business quickly in Premier Inn Reading Central. Located in the heart of the town centre, you're close to Thames Valley Park, Reading University and Royal Berkshire Hospital. After work, playtime begins. If you're a savvy shopper, head to the Oracle. Or check out the programme of rock, pop, comedy and drama events at the Hexagon. It's all on your doorstep. At the end of the day, return to a warm welcoming hearty meal and super-comfy bed.
Perfect for me as it’s right across from the office but probably not so great if you wanted to be in the city centre although it’s only an £8 taxi ride or £2 bus ride. Opposite a Beefeater which was handy but I would prefer an on-site bar and restaurant. Felt a bit uncomfortable on check-in to be asked if I was a smoker (I’m not) and if anyone would be joining me later 😳. Didn’t like the bed being made up with sheets, blanket and counter pane as it’s quite uncomfortable particularly on one of the hottest days of the year although the mobile air conditioning unit helped (first time I’ve had sheets and blankets for over 30 years since the day I got married despite extensive business (weekly) and leisure travel (4-6 times a year)). Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped. A bottle of water would have been a welcome addition to the room particularly in such hot weather. Not sure who to recommend the hotel to as it’s neither a corporate hotel with all the amenities or a home from home. Breakfast was on offer for an additional £15 and I decided to wait until I checked in to see. As I wanted to be in the office for 8am and there was no menu available, times of service or visibility of a dining room, other facilities or even other guests, I decided it may be too intimate and opted for a cold sandwich I had stored in the office fridge ‘just in case’. Was similarly priced to the executive room I had in the Novotel last week which had a full buffet breakfast included.
DDarrenVery nice clean hotel would definitely stay there again. It was also nice getting a free upgrade on the room. Witch had kettle, microwave, and fridge with a small freezer compartment. The room was like your own flat. Only down side to it was the shower was pretty crap. But you can put up with it for few nights.
Good location, free onsite parking, staff are very friendly and helpful. I met the owner who did his best to accommodate us any way he could. We chose this hotel as it is pet friendly, there is an excellent park and playing fields located just around the corner to exercise your dog. The room was clean and well presented, very similar in size to a standard at a Premiere inn and would have scored 5 had it not been for a few bulbs not working and some other small things, but I would definitely stay here again. I had the cooked full English breakfast option paid after you’ve dined. This was good value for money and extras were available for a small additional cost. So if you’re looking for a good value pet friendly hotel whilst staying in Reading give this a look.
ผผู้เข้าพักI booked here for one night as was on site 20 mins down the road. I found the room to be basic, but everything I needed. I booked the En Suite Double Room as I didn't want to share a bathroom and didn't want to sleep on a single bed. It came with a little flat screen tv, a desk, a bed and 2 side drawers along with a little storage to hang up clothes and put the suitcase. The tap was missing the top cover for the cold tap, but it worked fine as did the hot water. I also found the room to be clean and the staff to be friendly. I paid extra to have the breakfast which came as 5 different options (I had the poached egg, sausage, bacon and mushrooms and 2 slices of toast) which was fine and couldn't complain. I feel like people are expecting the ritz accomodation for a low price? I knew what I was booking when I booked at £70, it did it's job and had no issues
