Birds Paradise Hotel

We stayed at the Birds Paradise for two nights. We were very happy with the service. Also, found the staff very nice and rates very reasonable. Food was excellent and we enjoyed bird watching from our balcony with a nice cup of tea in the morning brought up to our room! Recommend to all who like quiet time enjoying the rainforest environment and especially visiting the Sinharaja Rainforest.

He stayed with two families, 5 children. Everything was great. The staff so friendly, food amazing, rooms spacious and clean. Plus extra bonus - you are actually in the middle of the forest, so the sounds, especially evening are stunning.

We had a very nice moment at the hotel! The staff was charming and very helpful! The food was also very good and tasty! If you want to visit the forest you should definitely stay in this hotel! We wish all the best in the future !

We a party of 2 adults & 2 kids stayed at Birds Paradise for 2 nights in early April 2023. The best thing about this place is the amount of wildlife you can experience from the hotel premises itself. Specially birds including endemics. Mr. Nimal the owner was very cooperative from the beginning and went out of the to provide for our needs. He also has a vast knowledge about the flora & fauna of the area. They provide Sri Lankan meals specially for lunch & dinner but did few changes for us to suite kids preferences. The room was a big one with limited facilities and a spacious balcony. There was no TV in the room and mobile phone signals were weak. But you don't need them when you are emersed in nature. Stream down by the hotel is beautiful and secluded. Watch out for the leeches in the foot path. Later heard that they provide facilities for kayaking. Would love to return there for the same experience + kayaking.

We stayed one night for birdwatching in Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The place is somewhat basic without much facilities (no network, no WiFi at our time) but our room was clean and spacious with good lighting. People were very friendly and the offered food was simply delicious and more than we could finisha! On our special request we got a delicious Sinhalese breakfast, dinner was also local and savoury. Sinharaja Forest Reserve is just around the corner (10 minutes by car) so convenient location. Great place for birders!

Accueil déplorable. Chambres assez sommaires et salle de bain dans un triste état. Néanmoins, le repas fut excellent. Climatisation OK. Panne d’électricité en prime durant une heure. Wifi poussive pour ne pas dire déficiente. Bref, vu l’offre hôtelière du secteur, cependant, il ne faut pas se plaindre surtout pour visiter le parc national tout à coté .
