Best Western Wheatland Inn in Colfax, WA is the best Best Western (or any other lodging) I've stayed at. My friend and I were there for two nights and it was perfect in every way. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The beds were a dream to sleep on and you can't beat the complimentary breakfast. So many choices and omelettes cooked to perfection. The price was amazingly affordable. If you are in this area and in need of lodging DO NOT miss this gem!!
Do not stay here. If you do, do not stay in room 201. The room and hallway smelled. The directtv didn't work. They came up and tried to get it to work. Finally replaced one of the cables. It started working. When I placed my hand on the dresser the tv was sitting on the tv went out again. They replaced the directtv with the one from the room next door, it worked. I tried to turn on the light above the TV and it fell hanging upside down on the wall. Tried to use the microwave and it tripped the power *****. Unplugged everything but the tv and it still tripped it again. So, I took the microwave into the bathroom and plugged it in it worked fine then. The room door didn't shut right. Dogs barking in the hall late at night. I was worried about the bed not being comfortable but slept fine on it. Our room was suppose to have a river view it did not. Great view of the railroad tracks though they seemed to be about 20 feet from the window. The people seemed to be nice. We left early because I felt it was a fire hazard after looking at the way everything was plugged in. The sconce light above the tv had wiring going inside the wall and when it got to the outlet a hole was punched in the wall and the wiring went through the hole and was plugged into the wall socket. The toilet was also very low to the ground not a bad thing I guess but if you are over 6 feet tall ...too low.
ผผู้เข้าพักAmazing room with everything you might need - full size fridge, kitchenette with all dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Desk (my husband used it a lot when working on the evening), nice couch, so you don't have to sit on the bed all the time. Very comfortable bed. Amazing helpful stuff! The swimming pool was very nice bonus. The only ”minus” is that the breakfast is so-so. They have the basics, of course, the eggs, cereal, oatmeal, waffles and bagels. Some other Marriotts we have stayed in, had some selections of cheese/ham and pastries as well. Anyway, our stay was great and I'd recommend it to everybody!
This is a modern, well designed, and well-run hotel. They have an airport shuttle, which is very convenient. The public spaces have lots of seating, both semi private and communal, with plenty of power outlets. All of the staff are helpful and friendly. Special shout-out to Dan, who ran the catered food for our meals at the business meetings. He was fantastic. I tried to tip him but he wouldn't accept it due to company policy. All of the rooms are super clean and quiet. There were several groups of teenagers here for a sports tournament in town, but you never heard a peep out of them. Kudos to the hotel as well as the chaperones of those teams. Would definitely stay here again (if I ever find myself in Pullman).
