Excellent and affordable hotel in Verona with courtesy shuttle service The Crowne Plaza in Verona is only ten minutes away by car from the old city center. It offers courtesy shuttle service to within steps of the ancient colosseum (Arena di Verona), venue of concerts and the famous summer opera festival. I very much enjoyed many trips to and from the hotel during a week’s stay, as Giovanni, the driver, was very attentive, helpful, cheerful and punctual on each occasion. The hotel includes a pool and gym, in-room refrigerator and mini bar, as well as a full service restaurant. In addition, in contrast to hotels in the historic zone, it is very affordable. The staff were very professional and helpful, enhancing the quality of my stay.
