Stayed on a brief weekend with a titanium member. Upon arrival , we were upgraded to a suite by Elma. She was amazing!!! The rest of the staff including (but not limited to ) Nathan, Jocelyn, and Amani were so inviting and professional ! 10/10 positive experience . Would HIGHLY recommend if you visit providence !!!
Stayed here for two nights to attend my brother’s graduation ceremony. Very conveniently located right across from the mall and Kennedy Plaza, was very easy to get around the town. The hotel has a rich history and the renovation is done really well, would highly recommend for people to stay for an eventful occasion. Staff were nice but too slow and short staffed. Had to wait long for check-in and check-outs, so plan ahead. Would definitely stay here again if we visit providence in the future.
A very well appointed hotel conveniently located in the historic downtown adjacent to RISD and an easy, if uphill walk, to Brown, with a number of decent restaurants nearby. The furnishings, bathroom, and linens were all of high quality. Despite other reviews I found the staff to be rather limited in their engagement versus the friendliness praised elsewhere, but nothing off-putting. The restaurant Bellini tries to punch a bit above its weight though for Providence it’s decent. Overall by far the best hotel in Providence but still a stretch from true five star luxury or a genuine upscale business hotel like Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay at! We did our wedding block here at this hotel and everything was top notch. The customer service and Sue Gallogly were excellent, they treat their hotel guests right. Also, the location is great too. I highly recommend the hotel for a night stay or to use as a wedding block!
This was a solo stay on April 20, 2023. I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy trying different properties across the portfolio when I visit different cities. In Providence, I had not yet stayed at this Homewood Suites, so I decided to give it a try. It was a stopover on the way by train to Boston, so I found it extremely convenient, a few blocks away from the station. I was surprised that this hotel did not offer a Digital Key, because it would have allowed me to bypass the odd arrangement of the entrance on the street level and the front desk on the second level. So I had to stop at the desk to claim my plastic old school card key. The desk staff was professional and described the hotel and features, as well as mentioning breakfast down on the street level. My Diamond status was recognized. My room was the one I had chosen during the online advance check-in the day before arrival. As it was a suite, it was certainly spacious. But.... the HVAC was hard to control, if at all. The outdoor temperature went down to the low 40's, and so I would have liked to have my room warmer than it was. Turning the thermostat higher just displayed the higher temperature but did not make the temperature higher. Unfortunately this was realized when I was ready to go to bed, so I wasn't going to contact anyone to rectify it that late. I found the bathroom to also be spacious, with enough room to put my toiletries on the counter. Because of the room temperature I opted not to take a shower that morning, so I cannot vouch for whether there was any issue with hot water. Breakfast.... I did not expect much. It was buffet style but limited selection. I did have scrambled eggs. I was bothered in the morning before my planned departure from the room and well before check-out time by Housekeeping knocking on my door. I thought that they only come in between guests. I had to yell that I would be out within half an hour. All in all, a great location but the lesson learned is to check the temperature control earlier in your stay if possible.
RrunnerMomto4Only stayed one night, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff who checked us in was friendly and helpful. They seem to have thought of everything -- including providing mints and homemade cookies in our room, having a well-stocked common room with coffee/tea/hot chocolate/ice/wine and champagne glasses and wine buckets available. Our room faced the highway, but the windows were well-designed to block out highway noise so it was not a problem. There was a white noise machine in the bedroom in case you needed it anyway. Breakfast was very good -- lots of choices. Room was large, bathroom was clean, and bed was comfortable with amazing sheets! The B&B is lovely, clean, and conveniently located near downtown Providence and many local universities. I will stay here again for sure. It was so much nicer than staying in a cookie-cutter hotel.
