The staff are friendly and helpful. If you run into any trouble, even the other guests will jump in to help you out. The showers and toilets are perfectly fine. Of course, it’s not as spotless as a luxury hotel, but the staff clean thoroughly every morning and evening, which leaves a very good impression. One time, I accidentally put coins for the dryer into the laundry machine. When I asked the staff about it, they kindly covered the cost without showing the slightest annoyance. The money I put into the laundry machine couldn’t be retrieved, but they just laughed and said, “Well, someone’s got a free laundry then,” which really made me feel relieved. There are many female guests as well, so I’d recommend this place to anyone, regardless of gender.

Really enjoyed the location of this hostel and enjoyed our stay.

This is my first time at the original backpacker. Answer my phone call when I was late check-in, the guy was very polite. Reception - very friendly and helpful show me around. Location - convenience at King Cross with 2 supermarkets, food shop, shopping centre. Friendly roommates with all women. Other backpackers are very respectful. No noise after midnight. I'll be back😊
