Wonderful hotel, staff were lovely and friendly - especially the lady behind the bar in the mornings, very chatty and happy. The pool is a little on the chilly side as not heated but once you’re in, it’s okay. Please be aware that people bagsy the sun loungers early. I went down around 8 every morning to sit in the sun in the quietness and I’d say around a quarter were ‘reserved’. There’s a jacuzzi, but we never got to use it as always someone in when we went 😫 There’s also a fully stocked library. The room/apartment was exactly what we needed, although, a bed sheet for the pull out bed would be great. Kitchen is fully fitted (apart from an oven) *make sure to bring essentials like dish soap, tea towels and extra bin bags* One gripe, we left the thing the door to have our room refreshed part way through the week. The only thing that the staff did was empty the bins - not the end of the world though. All in all a lovely little hotel for families. The nearest supermarket (Continente) is roughly a 15+ minute walk depending on how fast you walk. There’s also a Lidl, Aldi and McDs across the road. Be warned it’s a little uphill coming back - we got a Bolt as we got beers!! Bolt taxis are very cheap and always within 3-5 minutes away each time. A great little holiday and I’ll definitely be back to Portimão!
