很有特色的酒店，值得再次入住

My wife and I were part of a small Backroads cycling group and we spent two nights at this hotel. This is an amazing, historic hotel that was built in (about) 1905 specifically for someone's wedding. It is now owned by the city's but operated as an elegant hotel. We were lucky to get room #1 with was HUGE, with a large sitting room, dining area, bedroom with 4-posted bed, a sauna....you name it! We ate dinner and a couple of breakfasts there as well and found the staff friendly and the food goood. Front desk staff is also very friendly. For cyclists take note: If you need some laundry done you can give it to them in the morning and they'll have it at the end of the day. The hotel is centrally located and just a short walk (through a nice park) from the city center. It is not inexpensive but definitely a place to stay for a quiet, romantic getaway.

We had a truly lovely experience here on a one night stopover between Riga and Tallinn during the Christmas holiday weekend. Absolutely beautiful property, very festive feeling, and our room in the main house was comfortable and quite spacious. Breakfast was ample and our dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. One caution is that there was no elevator and some rooms are on upper stories. Guests who can't easily go up and down stairs may want to go elsewhere or speak to hotel staff about accessible rooms before they book. I wondered if I would regret booking here instead of a spa hotel, but there were so many spas within walking distance that we were able to experience both a fun spa day and the beauty of this historic property.

Overall, great experience! The hotel looks better in pictures than in real life. It looks fine in real life, but the pictures are exaggerated a bit. When we arrived, we had some questions about our room reservation. Hotel management resolved our questions and provided a great service. Outside garden was a nice place for a breakfast.

Villa Ammende is such a pretty historic property, a short walk into town or to the beach. My room was comfortable and relaxing, and breakfast was delicious. (Look for the wedding gown on the main floor - there's a story behind it.) Wish I could have stayed more than one night!

This hotel is a grand old manor house. The rooms are large and the furnishings are antiques. The staff is great, the breakfast nice and it was a very pleasant experience.

Stayed here as a feature stay on our Intrepid Tour. A heritage listed, old main building with lots of character but thus with stairs and design features that make an overnight stay a bit more challenging. We were able to get a garden view room not in the main building; but it was then 100 m away across rough cobbles. The floor heating in our bathroom was too hot at 29 C and we could not turn it down or just off. Staff were very obliging. Breakfast was al a carte and was pleasing. A 5-10 min walk to the beach and similar to the old town.

Internet dis not work in my room, had to change room. Nice hotel, good breakfast and good service.
