I stayed here while attending several business meetings and overall had a very positive experience. The room was exceptionally clean, and I really appreciated the daily housekeeping service, including fresh towels and bed linens. The staff were consistently friendly and professional throughout my stay. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and convenient access to public transportation. My arrival experience was unfortunately not ideal. Because I arrived after midnight, I learned that the hotel had been oversold and I had to spend my first night at a different hotel. This was frustrating, as I had intentionally booked consecutive nights to avoid moving rooms during a busy work trip. However, both the hotel and the booking platform worked to address the situation, and when I returned, I was upgraded to a spacious suite, which I greatly appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was fairly basic, but there was coffee available in the morning, and the hotel also offered evening cocktail hours, although I did not have a chance to try them. There was occasionally some noise from outside at night, but it was manageable. Overall, the cleanliness, professionalism of the staff, convenient location, and the efforts made to resolve the initial issue left me with a very positive impression. I would gladly stay here again.

Very expensive for a B&B. Nice spot in the Castro/ Mission district near Dolores Park. Well-maintained & reasonable management. Lots of stairs to go up into main house lobby — wrought iron gates with intercom to buzz to get entry into property. Try to get a room in the older main house to minimize stairs! No AC. They have limited parking spots behind the two B&B houses (access from Dorland St) for US$35./day plus tax which is a steep price. Make sure u book a parking spot in advance. Beautiful garden courtyard in the back. Sadly we never got to use it. Try to get a room that faces the other “house” or the backyard - quieter. We had a front room Deluxe King Room 36 which looked nothing like the sample room photos (only one Room 24 w courtyard view, sofa, coffee table). We got a smaller room approx 290sf vs what we paid for 32sq.m, 344sf, no closet just small armoire to hang a couple of things, no sofa, no coffee table, no balcony. They were kind enough to give us a refund for the price difference between the Deluxe King we booked & the Standard King we got. Had to ask for them to vacuum room. Found tissue under headboard/bed, dusty. Not the kind of room you would want to spend much time in —teeny tiny TV, faced front noisy street with electric bus passing by. No screens in windows so had to close windows at night to keep critters out. Bed was ok. Pillows were synthetic & lumpy. View was of electric lines & school across the street. Beware some electric outlets. One was burnt out. Breakfast was repetitive but nice to eat in a lovely breakfast room or outdoor deck. Hard-boiled eggs, muesli, fruit, muffins/ carbs, American coffee, juices. Fortunately SPRO café was next door if you need a great cappuccino or chai latté! We stayed in a deluxe city view room at Hilton Financial District—beautiful views and a warm welcome! The TV greeted us with a personalized “Welcome Cristopher,” which was a thoughtful touch. Staff were friendly and let us check in early. Great location near Chinatown, with amazing food—thanks to Denmark for recommending House of Nanking! Room was clean and well-priced.
