First off the hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is just average at best. The hotel is tired and dated looking and not Hilton quality speaking as a Hilton Diamond member. The hotel doesn’t appear to have been updated in the past 15-20 years. The hotel restaurant has a fairly limited menu and is a little pricy for what you get but on the positive side there are several restaurants within walking distance. On the plus side they do serve a free appetizer from 4-6pm daily in addition to the DoubleTree cookies anytime.
I don't get excited staying at a HIX but they do the job. If that's all you're looking for, this will fit the bill. I liked the location, in the middle of a big shopping center with some interesting restaurant options, a supermarket, and a surprisingly nice nature preserve with trails for walking or running. As for the hotel itself, a decent woodsy design for the brand, but the room itself was on the small side. It was modern with the standard HIX design elements and a good bed and bedding- but I didn't really like the sink being in the main bedroom. I also hated the adjoining room, which was a bit of a problem in terms of hearing my neighbor. Also the HVAC system is old and there is no wall thermostat, only a plastic dial on the unit itself with no temperature setting so you have to keep adjusting it in the hopes of finding a comfortable temp. Must have been the original units from a long time ago but at least it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was the HIX standard: free and you get waht you pay for. Anyway, in terms of a reasonable place for a short stay it was okay and I give it a 4/5 mostly because I liked the location
The staff are great, they are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything was clean and fresh. Easy access to the pet areas. The pool and hot tub were great. Two drawbacks, 1. Breakfast was served only until 9am. 10a would allow us to have a later vacation style wake up. And 2. The games and arcade cost money - quarters! One quarter to play air hockey should be enough. Should be included in. The room cost. Enjoyed playing ping pong for free and just a few arcade games. Fun!
First time in Park City and I can't imagine staying anywhere else! Ada at the front desk stated she ”was there to make people happy”! The room was lovely and we are ready to buy the bedding and pillows. The food at the pool and restaurant (although expensive) was delicious, especially the Caesar salad and omelets. The servers especially Justin were extremely friendly and eager to please. For warned, at the pool, there is a 20% pool service charge (in addition to the gratuity), which we found unreasonable. So the same two salads were $10 more at the pool than at the restaurant. Lobby decor was beautiful especially the chandelier, which was apparently designed by a Utah artist. Pool area is gorgeous, two hot tubs, and the staff brings bottled water in a champagne bucket without asking. Among the best amenities is the free shuttle service that takes you down to main street. We used it quite a bit going to dinner and all the drivers, especially John were great. Coffee in the lobby each morning was nice. Never a wait for an elevator. Next time back in Park City wouldn't consider anywhere else.
Perfect location for hiking and I imagine skiing in the winter. Short and easy walk to the main lift and center of canyons village. Layout of room is so efficient, they even offer a fridge and stove. Building amenities are A+, we loved the steam room and hot tub. Park city bus system is so efficient so renting a car isn't needed, bus pickup is right next to the building, but they offer free parking in the interior garage if you do drive. Would absolutely book again.
Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed our week long stay at Silverado Lodge in Canyons Village, Park City. We had our 7 and 12 year old with us and we skied everyday we were there. The location was convenient to the mountain. We took the free shuttle to the top of the Cabriolet each day rather than walk since it is a bit of an uphill walk. Without the kids we probably would've just walked but the shuttle was an easy and nice method of transportation. Our 2 bedroom, 3 full bathroom unit was newly remodeled and perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc which was great as we cooked and ate in most nights. We had a nice patio with furniture we sat on daily and took in the views! The pool and hot tub were always open and the front desk staff were friendly and available when we needed something. There isn't any daily housekeeping but you can schedule it and pay an extra fee to have your room cleaned. We didn't need to and only called front desk when we needed more toilet paper, towel service and trash pickup. The only signs of construction we saw was some exposed ceiling sections but it wasn't bothersome and we never heard any construction noise. We also valeted our skis each day inside the front lobby and each morning they'd already be waiting outside for us to grab just before hopping on the shuttle. There was underground garage parking at the lodge as well. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would stay at the Silverado Lodge again!
