First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Un hotel tre stelle con tante stelle in più, che illuminano la lunga parete del primo piano verso l'ascensore, perchè l' ascensore parte dal primo piano. E' l'unico neo di questo accogliente hotel nel cuore di porta d'Orleans, se hai bagagli pesanti può creare disagi. L'atmosfera è soft, le luci ai piani, la moquette, i passamano delle scale in ottone, il salottino di fronte alla sala colazione, in grado di soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza, con personale gentilissimo. Le camere insoronizzate, silenzio assoluto nonostante il traffico sottostante, spesso caotico. Pulizia assoluta delle camere e nel bagno, dove non manca nulla. A disposizione un boiler per caffe', the, cioccolata. Il personale della reception merita una lode particolare, per la gentilezza e la cortesia. E' disponibile per darti qualsiasi indicazione sui luoghi da visitare, sui mezzi di trasporto, sui ristoranti vicini. A proposito, a fianco all'hotel si trova il ristorante Auto Passion Cafe', originale per l'arredo costituito da vere auto, motori, ruote e quant'altro, unico a Parigi, dove puoi mangiare e gustare un espresso eccellente. Sull'altro lato della strada, la boulangerie -patisserie Le trouffe noir, da visitare per gustare baguettes e i tipici pasticcini francesi. Infine, hai la fermata del metro a dieci metri dall'hotel, i treni a venti metri, a cento metri la stazione dei bus. Consigliato!

Stayed here for 1 night while on a quick trip to Paris. For us, ideally located- short walk from the Gare du Nord, so when we got off the eurostar at 11am we were able to pop straight to the hotel to leave our bags (and use the toilet and grab some free water!) Then walked straight back out to explore Paris :) got back to the hotel around 10.30pm after a long busy day, able to check in quickly and get into our room. A decent size, cosy and warm (it was a freezing night so we were grateful for this!) and a decent bathroom, plus a balcony with a lovely view. Agree walls are thin- we could hear the person above us taking a shower- but after a long day we were tired enough to fall asleep straight away!! Woke up the next morning, enjoyed a nice hot shower and were able to store our luggage again until the late afternoon when we picked it up on the way back to the Gare du Nord. Overall, a great budget hotel and would definitely stay again when next in Paris. Merci!
