The Saint James Paris proved to be an excellent choice for the celebration of my 75th birthday. My husband and I were looking for a quiet, elegant retreat and were delighted to find it in a mansion tucked away on beautiful grounds in a residential neighborhood still within walking distance of some major attractions. Our deluxe suite exceeded our expectations. Its exceptional entry room proved to be an actual conservatory with a glass roof, marble floors, and towering live plants with a small table and comfortable seating. A retractable skylight brightened the spacious bedroom with its king-size bed, desk, lounge chair, ample closet space (including a steamer!), plus a bar area with sparkling crystal, well-stocked mini-refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom was equally gorgeous and well-equipped with a small porthole window offering a view. We enjoyed fine breakfasts and a dinner in the Bellefeuille restaurant, which truly merits its Michelin star. The comfortable library room offered a cozy retreat for a before-dinner aperitif and late lunch. Although we didn’t avail ourselves of the spa or pool, they were well-appointed with many services offered. Superb service from the Saint James staff made our stay very special. The front reception staff was exceptionally welcoming, professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. They answered all questions, helped make transportation arrangements, and kindly responded to my effort to speak French. The concierge recommended a nearby brassiere with excellent food that was clearly a neighborhood favorite. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the dining room/bar staff seemed proud to be working there, as well as truly interested in whether we were having an enjoyable time. We have stayed in other luxury hotels in Paris and can say with confidence that the staff with its quality and level of service distinguishes it. We would highly recommend the Saint James Paris to anyone looking for a truly exceptional experience with the highest quality of service in an incomparable setting.

I had a double room. It was very clean and calm, with a large bathroom. The rooms' decoration is certainly dated and basic but it is functional. The person at the reception the day I left was extremely helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located: about 100m from Gare Saint Lazare (and the metro) and very close to shops and large department stores in a very lively neighbourhood. I would happily stay there again. Great value for money.

Ça fait plaisir d'être dans un si bel hôtel aux portes de Paris, avec un très bon rapport qualité / prix. L'accueil a été plus que chaleureux, le personnel est très serviable et poli. L'endroit est coloré, propre et calme. Pas un seul bruit. Pareil pour les couloirs et les chambres qui sont irréprochables. Magnifique salle de bain. Bref, rien à dire là dessus ! Produits frais pour le déjeuner (pain, pâtisseries, fruits,...). Un vrai plaisir ! Petite déception car je pensais avoir une petite kitchenette dans la chambre. Peut-être faut-il la réclamer lors de la réservation. Petit bémol pour les escaliers menant principalement au garage sous terrain, où il manque peut-être un peu de nettoyage (poussières et toiles d'araignée) Bref. Nous ne voulions pas tomber dans un hôtel à l'hygiène douteuse et avons choisi Nemea. Nous ne le regrettons pas !
