During our 14th visit in Panglao, we decided to try a bigger Hotel. We booked 3 nights in a Premier Room. The resort is marketed as 4‑star, but service and maintenance didn’t match that level. Staff were mostly reactive; greetings only came when initiated (at reception, at bar).Room attendants were friendly, and the show‑kitchen staff were the only ones who greeted sincerely, but there was no visible management anywhere.
Breakfast had a good variety and tasty brewed coffee, but fruit bowls were not refilled two days in a row unless we asked. Cleanliness was a major issue in the restaurant and roof top bar: chicken bones, pancakes, spilled jam, and butter were lying on the floor and simply not picked up during our stay,, even with staff walking past.
Better not to offer a welcome drink at all than serve sugary powder water, which was only available at the pool bar.
Rooftop bar has a great view but overpriced drinks, no prices on the food menu board, and wait staff who didn’t greet guests, even though again, plenty of staff.
The Premier Room was spacious, but the balcony glass was dirty and blurred, giving no visibility. No shelves, no wardrobe, and no USB charging plugs — surprising for a hotel only a few years old. No hair dryer provided, and no info if housekeeping had one. Finishing felt incomplete, and the AC was very loud.
Beach area was small and full of sea grass, while the neighboring resort cleaned theirs daily. Not relaxing at all: local vendors and kids occupied the sunbeds, played games, and watched loud YouTube and TikTok videos. They were there to sell pearls and goods, and not once did staff intervene.
Even though it’s a public beach and I didn't expect it to be private, a bit more relaxation without the mobile phone noises at a 4- star Resort is what I expected. Solea didn’t clean their small portion once during the stay to show they care.
Public‑area furniture was worn out, and extra beds stored in corridors made them feel like a warehouse. Space in front of the elevatorsc super dark.
Deposit was PHP 3,000 even though online information stated PHP 2,000, and returning the second key card felt unnecessarily awkward.
Price was okay, but overall the stay did not feel like a 4‑star experience.
