"We had to leave Delhi at 5.30 am on Independence Day as our locality falls in the "sealed off after 6 am" areas . So we reached this property at 11 am despite taking it very easy . It was way before the check in time but taking in consideration my 91 year old Mom , they quickly prepared a room so that she could recover from her journey . We are a surgeon couple and had booked a two night stay . A few hours after check in we were informed our presence was required urgently back in Delhi the next day . So we curtailed our trip and handed over our keys well in time the next day for any on the spot arrivals . The hotel was fully occupied . We did it out of courtesy and did not expect any refund at all . But we were given back our deposit for the unused day . Now we understand this is a corporate chain hospital and these out of the way concessions are just not done at the front desk . But it was done with all grace and politeness . We deeply appreciate the extraordinary sense of hospitality . Keep it up . Our best wishes . BTW the sunset views are stunning ."

"We stayed at Redwood resorts with family for 2 days for a ring ceremony. Our experience was not good. The management did not fulfill the commitments regarding food menu, decorations and service. There was some rain and roof of two rooms started water dripping. Food menu and high tea menu did not have all the items. There is only one small lift which is never available to guests as hotel staff keeps using it. Our rooms were changed at last moment causing discomfort and embarrassment. Decoration was below par. Hotel agreed to our complaints but charged full amount. Unethical people. "

"Arrived 10pm at the hotel as a stop over before taking the Toy Train to Shimla the following morning. The room was very basic as was the bathroom - but this was overshadowed by the very warm welcome we received from the *** on reception - he arranged a take out meal for us in the hotel eating area - and a taxi to pick us up at 05:00 to get the train - excellent service but the hotel could do with a makeover"
