"All though we did enjoy our holiday, I have to say it is not what we expected and did feel a little let down by the hotel. Firstly - there was only 1 lift in use all week, the 2nd lift was broken and I never saw any attempt for this to be repaired, the lift only fit 4 people in at a push, and as you can imagine this was difficult for families with prams etc and caused large waits, we were on the 5th floor and several times we ended taking the stairs with our pram as it was such a wait, wait times for this even worse at the end of the entertainment and evening times when people are trying to get back upstairs. Room - our room was clean and pleasant, our balcony was old shaped into a corner so we could see into everyone else’s balcony and they could see into ours. Bedding was not changed daily although the beds were made, room itself was clean. The air con in our room would not turn off at all, despite there being an off function, even tried turning it to full temperature instead but again it would just kick out cold air, so on a night and in the early hours we were frozen. Pool - the pool area itself is fine and the pools are good shapes and sizes, on a morning the area is lovely and clean - (seen in a previous review about it being dirty) the issues id seen with dirtiness were from guests leaving tissues plates etc from the buffet in the floor under loungers. There were a lot of ants noticed around the baby pool but that is because it’s warm. Sunbeds - contrary to previous reviews, there is no issue with the quantity of sunbeds - the issue is quests taking sunbeds when they don’t need them. We got a sunbed around the baby pool every day, and didn’t come to put a towel down until we were going down for breakfast - however, we spend full days by the pool, there were other taken sunbeds, that were used for no more than half an hour the entire day. We saw family’s reserved spots for there children (sometimes 3 extra beds!) for there child to sit on the bed once to eat (there are plenty tables available to eat at the snack bar btw!) and then spend the remaining time in the pool. One day we saw 5 sunbeds be taken by a family and not used at all one day. This selfishness is the problem, and stops people who genuinely want to sit in a sunbed all day from having one. Personally I think there should be a staff member that monitors this and if a sunbed is unused for 1hr the towels are removed. Pool bar - the pool bar is a joke, 1 cup per person, although family members can take your cup and get multiple filled at a time, it is still only 1 drink per person at a time, and the queue for it was ridiculous, often only 1 staff member on, they just couldn’t keep up with the queues. This system needs reviewing or extra staff need to be put on as you spend half you day queuing. None of the bar staff ever smiled or appeared approachable, same with the bar staff on an evening, always so miserable and unhappy to be there. Entertainment - can’t comment on the day"

"Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Reception staff were lovely, I'm a vegetarian but most of the time I found plenty to eat. For meat and fish eaters plenty of fresh pieces cooked. Loved the pool, it was hot weather, so getting in the pool was heaven. The loud music was amazing, watching the children playing together and taking part in the activities was lovely. The energy of one of the ladies there , Sally I think, was amazing. Loved the hotel, the pool, pool bar staff and the reception staff, all were lovely. Highly recommended"

"On the plus side - Location: just a short stroll from a tidy and well equpped sandy beach. The beach is also ued by locals (which is a compliment to the beach), it could be a bit crowded , but there was always space. - The food is excellent, Lots of food is prepared right in front of you, there are plenty of stations with freshly prepared food for every taste. - Staff working in restaurants and bars are great. - People working in the reception are very helpful. On the minus side - It looks larger in pictures than it is in reality. It was rather cramped second week in August, most of the guests are families with small children, which inevitably leads to the next problem... - Sunbed hogging and sunbed conflicts. There were plenty of sunbed hoggers at the main pool, and on some days most of the sunbeds by swim-up pools were hogged by 9:30-9:40 by people, some of them showed up there once during the entire day. This is despite the fact that the swim-up pools are not open until 10:00 and are secured by fences. - Room cleaning is subpar prior to arrival: there were old almonds, hair ribbons and lots of dust behing the sofa bed when we came. - Cleaning by the pool: on a couple occasions in the morning there were plenty of glasses left between the sunbeds and near the trash can from the day before. A comment: - The swim-up pools can be used by all hotel guests and are not exclusively designated to the guests in swim-up rooms, who have private access only to a smaller delimited part next to their patios. There is a sun lounger on the patio, but there are no designated sunbeds by the swim-up pool, which means that you have to actively participate in the bison rush to the sunbeds when the pool opens at 10:00. It is only fair in my opinion, provided that people follow simple rules and that hoggers have not already sneaked in and occupied them earlier in the morning. To summarize: It is a 4-star experience, where food and hospitality are top notch, but cleaning and pool facilities are not so much. If you a morning person or an experienced sunbed hunter you might consider the hotel during the peak season, but be prepared that the swim-up pools are shared by all guests; which, once again, I think is fair as long as people respect simple rules."

"arrival we were sent to Sol building 2. The smaller, older looking building. Checked in to room on 5th floor overlooking overgrown wasteland and upon trying to enter our room the door would only open half way after a good shove. You had to wheel your suitcase in front of you to get in. The rooms are tiny with just enough room to walk past the bed to the other end. Tried to open balcony door, the lock was very hard to move and took a lot of effort. As we arrived at lunch time, we put valuables into the safe money, passports case lock keys and my husbands mobile phone and went for food. On our return to room the safe wouldn't open and showed an error message. Reported it to reception around 4.45pm who said someone would be up within 15 minutes. Over an hour later I called again as we couldn't get changed from our travelling clothes. Was told maintenance was very busy and would finish the job they were on and attend to it. We had to break the locks on our cases to get in to them. 9.30am next morning I complained to reception and one of the staff came and opened the safe in less than a minute. The shower was inside a bath tub and the only way in was by stepping onto the slope in the tub. Getting out when wet I slipped and almost went my length, narrowly avoiding injury. I requested an alternative room due to the doors and dangerous shower. The following day we were moved to 1st floor which although better and a walk in shower had a view of warped dilapidated wooden box constructions covering the hotel air conditioning which was hot and noisy. Around the sink was green. Bedding ripped and curtains had black mould stains. Dining area in building 2 was disgraceful. Had to get ratty 3 times with staff just for a cup to have a cuppa as there were none to be found, all trays empty. Food was barely warm. The dining in building 1 was slightly better, a bit more choice with crockery available although plates always felt dirty, like there was dried on bits all over them. The food all through the stay was repetitive, warm at best and pretty awful. The pool areas next. All sunbeds had towels on by around 6am, forbidden but never governed. Pools were way too small to accommodate the amount of people, not helped by large inflatables and balls. Again, forbidden but nothing done. Forget being able to swim, standing around in the water was as good as it got being constantly hit by flying balls. There was always a queue at the pool bar in building 2 as the inside bar was rarely staffed unlike building 1. My only pro comment for the hotel is the staff all worked hard. Unfortunately for the amount of rooms it wasn't always adequate. Overall a very unrelaxing holiday. Nowhere near the 4* rating, a 2* would push it. Everyone we spoke to were having identical issues with rooms, safes and food. The amenities are totally inadequate for the size of hotel and number of guests. Save your money and disappointment and steer clear."

"LOVE IT!!!!💙💙💙💙💙 Paul was wonderful,friendly and helpful(I call him Mr Alper as I thought he is the owner but he’s the hotel manager) Guillermo very friendly and chatty ,helped with some printi g I needed. Argentinian blonde tall guy in recep was fab too. The housekeeping ladies great! This is our place to go always when in Mallorca. It’s the 3rd time we stay and we are as pleased and happy as the first time. Rooms are wonderful,spatious and clean.New fridges and microwaves,kitchenette equiped with all you may need. Very good shower and towels. Nice pool area and reception Everything is sparkling clean! Palmanova beach is 10 mins walking away,plenty of bars and places to eat well for cheap prices. Bus stop to the airport A11 is 10 mins walk from the hotel. AC included in the room price and working perfectly! We had all we needed and more ! Thanks you Paul,Guillermo,tall blonde Argentinian guy,hk ladies! You are all wonderful! 🔆"

"This was the worst hotel experience of my life! You could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms – people snoring and even couples being intimate morning, noon, and night. The walls were so thin it felt like we were right there with them! The cleaning service was nonexistent; no housekeeping staff came by at all. The hotel attracts a lot of partygoers, so sleeping was impossible between midnight and 4 AM unless you managed to block out the sound of loud music or couples in the throes of passion. We weren’t informed that the rest of the hotel would be closed for the season, so I was expecting a reception desk and a bar, neither of which were available. We only had access to the room. To top it all off, I was unfairly accused of making noise in my room, when it was actually coming from the room behind us. This left me feeling embarrassed and exhausted from the lack of sleep. Overall, it was a horrible stay, and I strongly advise against booking this hotel!"
