The staff is very friendly, the services are well done and the rooms (we had a premium room) was very comfortable, silent and oversaw the wonderful garden. The breakfast was very good and the coffee obviously of Italian quality. So, a great getaway spotp

The team was incredibly welcoming, sharing great recommendations for sights to see. Dalila especially went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, finding a solution for our room change when it could've been a hassle. The rooms were fantastic, offering plenty of privacy—we practically had our own terrace. The pool and common areas were perfect for relaxing and socializing. The hotel is 15 mins drive from Ostuni so plenty of options to eat if not dining in the hotel (which we did on one night and really enjoyed the menu)

Masseria Ssnto Scalone has both met and exceeded the expectations I had as I was dreaming up of the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday with 9 of my friends and family! I had begun planning this adventure December of 2023. Dalila, Paola, Sefania, and Maria and all other staff worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was attended to, even with all the last minute changes they did not miss a beat. This place is the absolute quintessential definition of a true Italian experience. The staff, location, history, and service was everything I was looking for when I dreamt up of what and where I wanted to be on my last days of this decade. Thank you all for making this experience unforgettable and anyone looking for an amazing, authentic, relaxing place to be, look no further than Masseria Santo Scalone. Me ne vado con il cuore così pieno. Arrivederci e alla prossima volta! Grazie di tutto!! The one thing that I would recommend when visiting the area is definitely have a car! Taxis are very expensive and hard to get but this was no reflection of the Masseria!

Beautiful! The hotel is a beautifully restored Masseria close to the city of Ostuni with parts built in the 1300s. Rooms are large, well decorated with all the expected amenities. The hotel is managed by a team of very helpful and polite ladies!

Masseria Santo Scalone is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the charm of Puglia. The location, 10mins drive from Ostuni, makes you feel far enough to relax and enjoy the countryside atmosphere, but close enough to enjoy the centro storico life of Ostuni. The rooms are perfectly sized and beautiful. Food is amazing. And most important, the team of the hotel is so kind, available, smiling and on call at any time! we had an amazing experience thanks to Silvana, Ciro and all their teams. I warmly recommend the place and will definitely come back soon!

One of the main reasons I chose this place was that it was one of the few luxury masseria in the area that had any availability when I was booking a few months ago and one that did NOT have a 3 night minimum (we only had two nights). I suspect it may not be as well-known as as others in the area? It was also more reasonable than some of the other luxury masseria, and now having stayed there, I would say that it is an excellent value and I am so happy that I decided to stay there. It was a stunning property and was even lovelier in person than in the pictures! The public spaces and rooms clearly had been professionally landscaped and designed. The property was decorated with high quality furnishings and details like operable wood windows. Not every design choices was exactly my taste, but nonetheless I found everything beautiful and elegant, and the pictures do not do the rooms justice. Each space made use of the existing vaulted brick buildings, so the charm and character of the place remained even with the modern furnishings. My room (junior suite) was spacious and had a front seating area as well as a private patio in the back. Photos are not able to capture any of the spaciousness and elegance of the room. The pool area was terrific. The sparking clean pool was large enough to do laps and one entire side was made up of a shallow "shelf." It was so relaxing and pleasant to be in the pool and lounge area that we stayed there for hours and I recommend you make time to do so! The service at the hotel was also great! Most of the staff spoke excellent English and were patient and eager to help in whatever way they could (booking private cars, tours, explaining the menu, etc.). Once we got to the property, we did not leave until we left for our next destination, so we ate all our meals there. Overall, the food was good and we were fine to have five straight meals there (it was also reasonably priced for a high end property). But for the dinner menu, even though the many of the dishes sound creative and tempting, they were a bit underwhelming and some of the dishes lacked balance. So just be aware if you are very picky about your food. Also, the property is in the countryside and is a bit of a drive from Ostuni. We did not rent a car and took a private car in from Monopoli and a private car out to our next destination. If you want to be close to a town, this may not be ideal for you.
