What a beautiful and special place this is! Set in the gorgeous Evora countryside amongst fruit and olive trees, this quiet retreat is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. The service is outstanding — thank you Antonio and Nuno …. Everything was perfect. The food here is also amazing — be sure to enjoy the dinners snacks and breakfast. We also visited a nearby vineyard Joao Portugal Ramos which we highly recommend. The wine tasting and lunch were fantastic!

We stayed three days at the Imani House last May. There is a lot to like about the property. It's in a lovely pastoral setting. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The shower is large (but sprayed water all over). Free water was provided. Dinners outside were good. The pool area is pretty and peaceful (though the pool was quite cold). It was fun to walk to the nearby monoliths which took about 50 minutes. The areas that fell short were the food service and lack of service overall. When we stayed, it was obvious that there was no one really in charge- no owner, no manager. There always seemed to be inadequate staff to meet the need of customers. Henry and Nuno worked very hard doing multiple tasks and were a joy, however, there was a deficit in staffing. There were long waits for breakfast, lunch and dinner which were served haphazardly. Staff were unable to identify who should be served which items during meals. Breakfast in particular was chaotic and late. Pancakes were cold, the fruit was unripe, the bacon was undercooked. We disliked having to order every single item in advance, including bread, honey, milk, etc. Lastly, we came upon a poor donkey on the property that looked as if it hadn't been cared for- it appeared underfed and had terribly matted hair. We felt sad to see this. If the service aspects of this property were improved, I would happily rate it higher and recommend it, but at the time we stayed, it fell short of expectations.

Supreme! We loved our stay at Imani Country House. Do not let the dirt road to the entrance deter you. Once you have arrived you won’t want to leave this beautiful setting. The staff was engaging and most pleasant. Excellent English was appreciated. Our large suite was luxurious. I wish we had been there during warmer weather when we could have taken advantage of the two swimming pools. We dined in the evening there for dinner and were served a delicious meal. Breakfast was a treat also. You will be surrounded by orange and olive trees on the property. The Inn and public rooms are delightfully decorated with curated objects. Staying here was the highlight of our visit to nearby Evora. Highly recommend.

Incredible location - so peaceful right in the middle of nature (but not too far from Évora). The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is AMAZING! Truly, they were extremely friendly, accommodating, and kind. We were there for two nights and really enjoyed it.

One of the loveliest places I’ve been. Small and private. You arrive in an orange orchard that smells amazing. The food was great, the staff even better. There are small pools, an outdoor bar and eclectic decor everywhere. We were there during the country-wide blackout and they were great in responding to our needs and making sure we were kept up to date and comfortable. I’d live there!!
