All five of us had our own room, all situated together in the main house and one had a room with a shower which was located just outside. Breakfast choice was good and we also had our evening meal there each night. The menu for the evening meal did not change but there were 2 vegetarian options and what looked like a good selection otherwise. There were two main lounges and a small, well stocked bar. Also a garden with seating. The hotel was a short-ish walk from town and a bus stop was just opposite. A good choice for a stay in Norwich.

Requested a room on the side of the hotel as quieter. It meant that I could do my business admin, plus have a good night's sleep. Staff at Reception and in the restaurant friendly, welcoming and helpful, even offering me a jug of fresh milk to take to my room, for the cup of tea. Bed linen, towels etc all of a good standard. I'm about to purchase two of their firm pillows, as definitely had two good nights sleep. Premier Inn offer a parking scheme where you can book on ”YourParkingSpace”, where locals can offer you a space at a competitive rate. 48 hrs of parking in the municipal carpark would have been very expensive.
Staying at the Marlborough booked online & did this to do some Christmas shopping in the city. We were greeted politely & the owner chatted as we arrived. A nice simple room, ensuite with a walk in shower & a decent family room double bed plus a single bed. Tea & Coffee with kettle &:space to move around an open wardrobe to hang clothes. If you want a simple, decent hotel to stay for a couple of nights, the Marlborough Hotel is ideal. Just around the corner from Norwich railway station, 10-12 minutes walk into the city shopping with enough nearby to eat & drink.
Hired the Presidential Suite for my sons Birthday party. Robin made the room look amazing so all we needed was the decorations and finishing touches. Plenty of room for all the 40 children and their parents along with the children’s entertainer. Nikki made sure we had all that was needed and on hand to help. Defo recommend for any party big or small.
Where do we start , got married here in august and to say how well it was organised is an understatement, From start to finish the whole day was incredible, food, room, how it was decorated was amazing , would highly recommend if you are thinking of getting married, big shout out to Josephine for organising the day and to Steve the toastmaster for sorting out the day as we went on , thanks sgain

My partners daughter booked us a 1 night stay here for his birthday, and a table for Sunday lunch.on arriving we weren't sure if we were in the correct car park as there's no signs to say it was.check in 4 the room wasn't until 2pm and our table 4 lunch was 1pm so we had a drink in the bar first.therez a large seating area outside but only a small bar area so if weather is bad there wouldn't be many seats to sit in.we both choose Sunday roast 4 lunch, the farmers roast that you get a slice of all 3 meats,I have 2 be honest i couldnt taste the difference in them.overall the roast had a strange taste,I can't really put my finger on it,there was a lot of herbs especially rosemary on my plate I prefer potatoes etc..not covered in herbs.the cauliflowercheese was mushy..the desserts were lovely.we had few drinks on the terrace later and scones and cream which was lovely the room we had overlooked the side of the hotel..i didn't sleep very well in the bed,the bed itself was good but the pillows were awfull, the room was quite stuffy but I didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open.,couldnt fully turn off the shower and the radiator in the room clearly leaks as there was a tea towel wrapped round it which looked like it had been there a while.we didn't have breakfast before leaving as my partner had work commitments. Overall this hotel has a great location overlooking the river which definately makes it popular, there are a few things that could do with fixing here to make it an excellent hotel.
There is a sign up outside Number 82 which says ”A devilishly good night's sleep”, however nothing could be further from the truth. The Pear Tree pub across the road and their clientele provide a very noisy interference which lasts until 2am (due to their late licence). The road outside the hotel contains a manhole cover that makes a noise for each vehicle that drives over it. The pedestrian crossing lights flash all night and the curtains fail to keep the flashing out of the room. The hotel consisting of apartment rooms is somehow managed remotely, therefore keys are obtained via a code from a key safe, and any questions are only dealt with by phone. Our first issue concerned a broken window mechanism, preventing it from closing and after reporting this someone rang back to allow us to check in to a different room. Unfortunately the second room had a broken toilet. Once the chain was pulled for the first time, (it had an overhead cistern), the water did not stop running but couldn't be flushed again. This was reported at 6pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm, with no response other than ”your problem has been logged on the system and I am waiting for feedback”. No amount of ”can I speak to your supervisor/boss” or suggestions about getting an emergency plumber out, or changing the room bore any result. After the 4th attempt, I remembered that the person providing the second room earlier had rung back from a different number, and once reached, this person did indeed provide us the facility for changing rooms for a second time. There were other issues concerning cleanliness and the heating not working in the second room, all in all a most unpleasant stay that I do not intend to repeat
ผผู้เข้าพักVery friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. The lift was out of order but help with our luggage was offered immediately. Room was immaculate and well equipped, with air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The only inconvenience was no socket for the hairdryer near a mirror. Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of hot and cold items, but more seating would be useful. Staff were clearing tables as quickly as possible, but as it was a warm and sunny morning we ate outside. Would definitely stay here again.
ZZara MonicaBooked for one night to go to the football at Carrie road which is about 15min walk from hotel town centre is about 20min walk, it is easy to get to from the station just a short walk, arrived and some other guests let me in at first as the manager was not there, he arrived a few minutes later and quickly booked quests in, very easy process he showed me were I was staying as staying the other side of hotel, told me if I had any problems to ring the number on the paper stuck to the back of the door, and if I wanted to use the WiFi the code was also there. Room was small but had a shower toilet and sink as well as a hairdryer and clothes rack. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. Overall place was clean and tidy I stayed in the top part at the front it was a pleasant stay.
An excellent venue for a mens golf society on a budget. This 1990,s hotel has large meeting/bar area,s. good sized bedrooms, comfortable beds, with a well filled hospitality room tray, Negatives,No wi fi in bedrooms, distinct lack of hot water, heated towel rail in bedroom not working. No controlled room heating or cooling. Premier inn/Travel lodge rooms I rate at 9/10. My wensum room 6/10. Simple 4 option starters, mains, puddings choice for our group. All very good and enjoyed by everyone Buffet type breakfast (mains being served) was again very good, could not fault it. Golf courses very challenging for a group of seasoned golfers, and generally in very good condition (could be extremely wet and unplayable in the winter months). Large, well stocked Pro shop, driving range ect. We found all the staff were helpful, friendly, accommodating. hard working and they were the biggest asset to this hotel. We hope the owners will be able to invest some money in a future program of refurbishment of the rooms. We all agreed that we would be happy to return again next year. Well done all.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is a short walk from the railway and within easy access to the Cathedral and city centre. I stayed there for 2 nights. In the 1st night, the bathroom light was out of order as there was no one in the hotel to take care of it. Nothing was done in the following morning, and the only thing to be done is to change the room in the afternoon.
The hotel looks tired and needs some touching up, yet the rooms are spacious, functional and clean, and the bed is comfortable. There is an issue with dampness in walls though it is not too serious. If you look for a budget place to sleep at night, this is the place for you.
