เราพักที่นี่หนึ่งคืนเมื่อเราเดินทางผ่านอิตาลีเมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ มีที่จอดรถมากมายในบริเวณใกล้เคียงและที่จอดรถฟรีทั้งด้านนอกและภายในอาคาร พนักงานต้อนรับเป็นมิตรและช่วยเหลือดี มาตรการเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคมนั้นดีและมีการสังเกตระยะห่างระหว่างอาหารเช้าด้วย ห้องน่าจะดีกว่านี้หน่อย - ผ้าเช็ดตัวบางมากและซ็อกเก็ตมีไฟสีส้มสดใสซึ่งทําให้ห้องสว่างขึ้นพร้อมกับสัญญาณเตือนไฟไหม้ในเวลากลางคืน สรุปเป็นการพักที่สะดวกสบาย

หากคุณกำลังจะล่องเรือคอสตาซึ่งออกเดินทางจากซาโวนา โรงแรม NH แห่งนี้จะเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีที่สุดของคุณที่จะเข้าพักล่วงหน้า เนื่องจากอยู่ห่างจากท่าเรือสำราญเพียงหลายร้อยเมตร และพนักงานของโรงแรมมีความเป็นมิตรและช่วยเหลือดีมาก

This waterfront hotel in the seaside town of Alassio is extremely well-staffed and equipped, it also has a very generously furnished spa/health therapy centre. However The main entrance to the hotel has two small (hotel name)brass plaques, one on either side of the relatively small revolving door ……..both obscured by large plants. The external carpet is embroidered with ‘Riviera Delle Palme Talassio Collection’ and neither the hidden plaques nor the carpet are good indicators as to where the hotel was hiding. For a stressed first time visitor arriving by car and having spent many hours in badly managed roadwork queues, the lack of signs and clear indications were not conducive to a smooth arrival. Children had been allowed to use the main spa pool in the afternoon (mornings they’re allowed in) bringing with them a cacophony of noise and a traffic jam at the most popular water jets thereby making the area into a large, unnecessary and unwanted kindergarten. The masseuse managed to arrive unacceptably late for a pre-booked massage by which time I had returned to base ………….. the head concierge was commendable for his apologies and efforts to reschedule but tardiness at this level is not professional nor indicative of the hotel’s standards. A decent enough stay but there are plenty of other hotels at this level to choose from in future.

Amo la Liguria e quel magico angolo di mare rappresentato da Varigotti, pertanto il mio compagno ha pensato di fare un regalo ad entrambi decidendo di prenotare una camera all'”Albatross”, hotel a 4 stelle. Le aspettative erano alte, o meglio, coerenti con l'idea di soggiorno a 4 stelle e non ci saremmo certamente aspettati ciò che invece abbiamo trovato. E' vero che Varigotti è una piccola, ma gettonata località in cui ci sono pochi alberghi, ma credo anche che il turista non debba essere preso in giro. La struttura non è attrezzata con un'ascensore (pertanto i portatori di disabilità fisica e/o a ridotta capacità motoria non vi possono accedere): al nostro arrivo il personale ha recapitato i nostri bagagli in camera, ma al check out ci siamo arrangiati (secondo e ultimo piano, per carità, ma comunque scomodo). La stanza piccola (fronte Aurelia e parco giochi), senza armadio (gli abiti appesi sulle grucce a vista), dotata comunque di tre vani chiusi, materasso con topper e due cuscini durissimi (sono indecisa sull'essenza: noce? assi da manovale?). Il bagno (adeguato a persone snelle) dotato di una doccia abbastanza ampia, il mobile del lavandino con possibilità di riporre gli effetti personali e bidet: se hai le gambe lunghe o sei un pò in sovrappeso non riesci ad utilizzarlo; gli appendini delle salviette del lavandino poco pratici e in generale insufficienti. Per correttezza dico però che sia la stanza che il bagno erano puliti e il personale cortese. Passiamo alla colazione: due/tre torte casalinghe, pane industriale, brioches (avevano la farcitura? Di che tipo? Boh!), una ciotola di yogurt, macedonia vista solo una volta e nessuna targhetta identificativa dei prodotti. La terrazza dell'hotel con affaccio magnifico, salvo vista su tegole di plastica e coperture di plastica del dehor sulla spiaggia. Stile confusivo con tracce di design contemporaneo e residuati vecchio stile. La chicca: puoi parcheggiare a circa 200 metri dall'hotel, senza custodia e senza copertura, alla modica cifra di 30 euro; tanto vale utilizzare i parcheggi comunali a pagamento. Spiacente, ma 165 euro a notte per un albergo che dichiara 4 stelle, ma di fatto è un comunissimo 3 stelle, non li merita. Ovviamente, non lo consiglio.
