I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.
During my two-night stay, housekeeping entered my room twice after only knocking once and immediately opening the door, even though I was inside the room on both occasions. This was extremely intrusive and made me feel that my privacy was not respected.
When I reported the issue to the reception, I was assisted by a curly-haired, dark-skinned female receptionist. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging my concern, she responded with a dismissive attitude and told me that it was because I had not hung the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.
I understand that the “Do Not Disturb” sign is intended to indicate that guests do not wish to be disturbed or have their room cleaned. However, not displaying the sign should never be interpreted as permission to enter a guest’s room immediately after knocking without waiting for a response. If this is indeed the hotel’s policy, it should be clearly be explained during check-in or clearly stated in the room. No one informed me of such a policy when I checked in.
The lack of respect for guests’ privacy, combined with the dismissive attitude of the receptionist, left a very negative impression. I cannot recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.
