Yunyi Homestay (Tang’an Dong Village Branch)
Nestled in Zhaoxing Town, Liping County, Qiandongnan, Tang’an Dong Village sits at an altitude of 900 meters. Far from over-commercialization, there are no bustling bar streets here—only elderly Dong ladies sitting by the roadside handcrafting traditional Dong embroidery.
The village boasts fresh, crisp mountain air, cool temperatures and peaceful surroundings. Vehicles cannot enter the village core; our host will meet you at the village entrance to carry your luggage, and the homestay is just a 3–5 minutes’ leisurely walk inside.
This 700-year-old ancient Dong village is home to China’s Dong Ethnic Eco-Museum, renowned for its authentic, living cultural preservation model. Its iconic cluster of Dong drum towers stands as the cultural heart of the settlement.
The village’s lifeblood is the time-honored Yipiao Well, a natural spring with crystal-clear, sweet water flowing all year round.
Rolling terraced fields blanket the mountains, showcasing distinct scenery through every season, with breathtaking layered vistas especially in spring and autumn, filled with genuine rustic Dong village charm.
Convenient amenities lie steps away from the homestay: coffee shops, milk tea stores, local eateries and breakfast spots, all run by indigenous villagers, reachable within a 1–3 minute stroll. On select evenings, guests may join the lively Dong bonfire folk party to experience authentic ethnic customs.
