Clean, modern rooms in a very good central location. They kept our luggage at no change when we went off on a multi-day track. It's a big, corporate, type hotel, so not much personality, but the rooms and the central location make it a great place to stay.
De ontvangst was eenvoudig maar persoonlijk en prettig. De kamers beetje gehorig. Ligt in buitengebied dat goed toegankelijk is. Do not forget to buy anti repellent against sand flies. They sell that also at the reception.
I stayed in the Tasman bay backpackers a few nights, the hostel is very nice and clean, and the location is great, but the receptionist Blake was very unfriendly since I checked in. My last day in the hostel I asked him if a friend could come say goodbye to me as I was leaving Nelson and he said no visits where allowed, although there was an European girl visiting a friend, and it was 6pm (visit time was supposed to be until 8 30). He was very unhelpful and seemed to have a problem with me being there.
We had just arrived in Nelson fo for our latest visit with family and as we used to live just before the Honest Lawyer we decided to hard there for a sting and a dinner, we got our drinks and sat down in the corner and had a relaxed chat and then ordered some good pub food, I had a perfectly cooked steak, my wife had a very tasty steak pie and my brother had a really good fish and chips, the service was good and the bar was quietly busy , definitely will go back
An excellent place to stay in Nelson, easy walking distance to the centre of town and several great cafes and restaurants. Extremely comfortable unit, very clean and modern with everything we needed. Very comfortable bed! We received a very warm welcome from the hosts who were extremely helpful during our stay. We also appreciated being able to charge our EV car there. Thoroughly recommend and we’ll return when next In Nelson!
GGreenInsightsAs the name suggests you are right on the water when you stay here. Our room was sparklingly clean and fresh when we arrived. Features are a comfy king size bed and really big bathroom with detachable shower head in the shower. Eco friendly push button soaps as well as regular soap and shampoo provided Tea and coffee are quality and two packs of welcome biscuits are in the kitchen area The fridge is pretty small but there is a good sized toaster and kettle. A free continental breakfast is offered in the upstairs breakfast room Not all the guest rooms have views of the harbour Ours was the carpark Also the air came in through the window or sliding door in the glass wall of our room that ran along the first floor balcony. Block out curtains also blocked out the fresh air and with the curtains open there was not much privacy when others went by on the balcony.. alternatively we could have just used the ac unit and closed the curtains The location was just a few minutes drive to the centre of Nelson Staff are very friendly and helpful There is a washer and dryer are fresh water to top up and encourage reusing water bottles Would stay again but opt for a harbour view room
Booked at the last minute because it was a good deal for a beautiful room overlooking the river. We had a wonderful night away staying in a lovely quiet, clean and modern room with an amazing spa shower. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and would highly recommend the steak which was cooked to perfection! The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night but along with the bar service was great. Breakfast the following morning did not disappoint either with lovely friendly staff. Over all a fabulous stay and we will definitely return - highly recommend!
AAndy TA very large site right on the coast with plenty of walks available. A little way out of town but, with the estuary and coast nearby, the site was a great place to stay. The facilities were clean and well-appointed, if a little widely spaced over the site. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall we had a good stay here in a camper van. Walking along the coastal path was great, with plenty of bird life to see and enjoy.
We stayed here on our way home from the South Island. The owner - Cobber was a lovely man and supplied us with a heater after we told him the heating in our unit wasnt working. The fan heater was not great but we werent too worried as we werent there long. The worst part of our stay was that the motel is in a suburban street and right across the road were 2 dogs behind a high gate. The dogs barked constantly at every single thing that moved or walked past their property. They were large and loud and acted like guard dogs, and it really was extremely annoying. This older motel is very typical of the dated tired motels that could really do with a modern makeover. Price was $170/night.
ผผู้เข้าพักGood location but not right on the beach - 10 minutes walk away and all amenities are also a fair distance away so my elderly inlaws had to be driven everywhere, with nothing within their walking distance. Rooms are dated but reasonably well equipped. Parking spaces are small, designed for small cars, not the huge SUVs and trucks that we all wallow around in now. Host David and his team are great, and go out of their way to help. High-speed WiFi, hundreds of Sky channels, outdoor table and a BBQ area made for a great stay. Warm and friendly holiday accommodation - recommended.
