Hotel did not appear old from exterior nor from the reception area. The front desk was extremely nice and gave a great first impression walking in. The hotel is old with very thin walls. The beds were somewhat comfortable but we’re not the quality I have been accustomed to with other Super 8 stays. This was old school sheet, thin blanket and old style bed spread that reminded me of an oilcloth table cover. The room appeared clean but it was small with no closet just a place to hang your clothes overhanging where the chair sat. I loved the air conditioner as it was almost silent and worked great. The door was marked and looked like at some point it had been pried open. When initially walking into the room it had a musty smell but dissipated quickly when I turned the AC on. From that point it was down hill. The walls are paper thin and every guest after we got to our room was loud. The people upstairs were having a stomp contest. Things finally quieted down around 11:30. The next night the room next to us left their TV on, not horribly loud but just enough to keep me from sleeping soundly. Would I go back ? Only if it was the last place in Natchitoches that had a room. We are bringing our camper next time we visit.
We stayed here on the way to Dallas for Christmas with our family. The check in went very well. The person at the desk was a professional and very friendly. The macadamia nut cookies were a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. If anybody cares there is a Whataburger within walking distance. We used it.
