We stayed in hotel La Residence last month ( November 2024) It is approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station. Hotel La Résidence is within walking distance of Cathédrale Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur de Narbonne, the the main church, and the main square, and shopping area. The visitor center is few hundred yards from the hotel. There is a very pretty bar/reading room to the right as you enter, and breakfast room to the left. PROS: It is a quaint pretty hotel with very friendly front desk/reception. They helped with the local transportation and volunteered to mail the postcards. The rooms are spacious. Mine was. As it was late fall, there was chill in the air, the room had heat turned on. The bed was very comfortable. There was a cupboard in the room which looked like it was an antique piece. It added to the charm. CONS: As with other hotels in ”the region” the power outlet was not multiplug, which is a concern. A little soundproofing of the connecting walls could help light sleepers, from next room noises 🤫 Definitely worthy of a return stay.

I had a nice stay (one night) at Zénitude Centre. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had breakfast there (a buffet) and although the food was nice, it was expensive (nearly 17.00 euro). I would recommend Zénitude Centre Narbonne.
Can’t fault this hotel. It’s slightly out of town in a retail area but is well served by busses for the town centre and has good chain restaurants/cafes and supermarkets in walking distance. Taxis aren’t very expensive for late journeys back. The rooms are a perfectly good size and well equipped and extremely comfortable. Beds are big. The rooms have a kitchenette which comes with a microwave and cooking hobs and fridge/freezer. Picking up on other reviews/comments;Have had no problems with the wifi, the air conditioning works perfectly, the area around the hotel is safe and pleasant. The bathrooms are a perfectly good size and are modern and well equipped. Breakfast is good and plentiful and the staff are all friendly and extremely helpful. 10/10.
This is the second time I stayed at Novotel Narbonne Sud with my husband & 2 kids (ages 9yrs & 14yrs). We previously came during Covid in 2021, so of course it was a lot more relaxed this time! It's a modern, clean hotel with an an excellent pool, daily cleaning, friendly staff, decent breakfast & free parking - very good value. It's a slightly strange location in an industrial area off the motorway, but there is an excellent organic supermarket 'Grand Frais' nearby as well as a few fast food places (KFC, McDonalds) which makes a change from eating out at pricey restaurants with kids. The famous 'Grand Buffet' is only a 12min walk away too. The hotel is landscaped really well surrounded by trees & shrubs such that the location is disguised somewhat. Gruissan beach and Narbonne beach are around a 20-25min drive away. There is an good beachside restaurant at Gruissan called 'La Paparrazzo' and a fantastic seafood restaurant at the other end of Gruissan beach for freshly caught oysters, prawns, langoustines etc called 'La Perle Gruissanaise'. A great stay overall!
Frank Sinatra did it ”My Way” and the charming ladies who own and run Villa Ambrosia have their own distinctive style in this funky but passionately unique B&B. The decoration and greenery suggest world travelers and folks that can't resist brocante shopping plus family heirlooms. Everything might not strike your fancy, but it all coalesces into a relaxing and whimsical whole built around a large indoor pool and enough plants and trees to compete with a botanical nursery. Our room, ”Shabby” was comfortable with a premium bed and a fine rainwater shower. A memorable breakfast is essential for any self-respecting B&B, and Villa Ambrosia scores well on this checklist. A very minor quibble: wished they used more substantial paper napkins, but everything else on the table was delightful. A caution, if you are arriving by car: Allee Ambrosia is at a sharp angle off the main road, quai de Lorraine. You and/or your GPS might miss it, and that can be annoying and stressful. There are a cluster of tiny public parking spaces outside their gate and room for only a few cars inside. It would be prudent to reserve same if you have a large car or visible luggage when the car trunk is too small. This place grew on us. You may not have all the ”mod cons” of a modern hotel (you might have to pull a cord out of a lamp socket to charge your laptop or phone), but you will be staying at a distinctive and singular hostelry that you will remember with fondness.
Really nice boutique hotel in the quiet back streets of Narbonne but literally a 5 minute walk into the centre and the restaurants. Only 10 rooms to the hotel, no elevator, unfortunately we had skid for an upper room as we had not realised there was air conditioning and when the weather is hot we like to sleep with a window open. We ended up with room 9 which was not ideal as up 56 steps, also the one room overlooked the lovely roof top patio, fortunately for us it was raining otherwise maybe it could have been quite noisy if people were using it in the evening, so I would say for that the room to avoid was no 9. So go for a lower floor unless you want a work out. If you arrive with a car make sure you book a parking spot in their garage, there are only 4 spaces and when you arrive you will see the sign for the hotel at the garage door which is opposite the hotel, there is a place where you can park your car whilst you check in and get the details on how to access the garage. The spaces are very good and access is easy going in and out. The guy on reception spoke good English and was very helpful, giving recommends for restaurants and booking one for us. The room was clean, nicely decorated , comfortable large bed and quiet. We did not have breakfast. If staying in Narbonne this is definitely a good place to be.
Sicherer Parkplatz, gute Zimmer, bequeme Betten, alles sauber. Rezeptionistin sehr freundlich und gut drauf. Frühstück prima, teils mit Bioprodukten. Restaurant in ca. 200m Entfernung, 15% Discount mit Hotelgutschein. Nah an der Autobahn aber sehr ruhig. Prima Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
