We arrived at Cosy apartments completely exhausted from our long flight and upon arrival we were notified about payment and how they would not accept bills that were printed before 2013. This is something I was not told while I was making the booking and I clearly stated that I was paying cash, one would think that they would mention this so that I would come properly prepared. We had gone straight to the bureau exchange from the airport to change our money to use while we were in Nairobi, but I left the payment for the hotel in US dollars. As this was being explained to us by the lady at the front desk, the general manager approached us and was very stern, and unapologetic , and just completely rude. My father, who is a man of very few words and lots of patience even commented at her rudeness and complete lack of professionalism when addressing a guest. This left such a sour taste in our mouths that we tried getting another place to stay but unfortunately because of the short notice we were unable to be accommodated that night. The apartment itself was okay, we did not have hot water on our first night there and were transferred to a different apartment. The girls at the front desk were very accommodating, polite, and ready to assist you in anyway you needed. Evelyn who made the booking with me called to apologise for what happened in regards to the money situation. One would think that the manager would step up and take charge but this was not the case. Evelyn called to let me know that the manager would be coming to speak with us about the incident, this never happened. Will I ever stay at Cosy apartments again? Never, not if it is being overseen by someone who does not have basic common sense courteousness towards guests. The guards were just as friendly as can be and this was such a bonus because they were the ones we saw on a daily basis so it was nice to have a friendly face to say hello to. Cosy needs to consider who they want representing this particular establishment because this general manager has managed to steer away business, I will not be returning.
